And the way to eat them was always to rub the icing side briskly on a smooth surface before taking the wrapper off. The icing sticks to the wrapper. We ate that first, then the cake second. Again I'm old, too fat, and need to sharply reduce my sugar consumption or I'd still be eating them. I see them all the time.

I’ve always liked “old-fashioned” foods/treats. I’d really like to try some of these that faded before I entered this life. Of course, some of them are still available. Awhile ago I got some Vienetta to share with my kid, which was fun because it was a special treat when I was a kid. It’s around, but not very common, and I’m sure that’s in part because it costs a lot for a small quantity. But it’s nice to know I can still find it if I feel like splurging on something nostalgic.

The Tunnel of Fudge Cake is nothing more than Lava Cake.......same recipe, just different shape and changed name. I loved Funny Face Goofy Grape. It was SOOO much better than KoolAid. And you could collect the labels on the packets to turn in for cups, glasses, and pitchers. I had a Goofy Grape cup I loved to drink out of. The Marathon Bar is still made............in Britain, and it was renamed CurlyWurly. Ok, I don't know WHERE you got your info from, but it is WRONG! Fudge pops are still made, and they have been a STAPLE product here in the Southern states for all of my life that I can remember. And it is the FIRST ice cream treat that sells out EVERY SUMMER in EVERY store that carries them.
