Great list and fun idea for looking at the top 200 (although admittedly I’m almost more excited for the least favorites one!). Very glad to see Skytear Horde getting some love. This has a sweet spot for me as it’s just so quick to get to the table but still provides a very fun thinky tactical experience.

Both are great. Heart has slightly more straightforward characters to learn the game, while star has slightly more varied characters. So depends on your tastes

@ilqrd.6608 you need at least two characters. Lots of the upgrade cards you can unlock are about helping other characters, moving them, etc.

No, you can’t, sorry if the video sounded like it was saying that. What I meant to say is that Stalingrad is the best version of the system so far… but not for solo 😭

interesting list. Root is definitely a great solo experience and would love to get it to the table more often. For a game that is primarily for MP whoever designed the solo experience should be commended. Playing against the BOTS does provide an MP experience. Sentinels is my favorite Superhero game as well. I have purchased Marvel Champions and while a solid game, it doesn't provide the same feel as fighting as a specific character. In the end, it isn't as Thematic as what Sentinels can offer. I do enjoy how differently they play with the 4 aspects though. My top 3 are #1 Spirit island #2 Imperium Classis/Legends #3 Anachrony.

I've only played Descent: Legends of the Dark. What makes you like Journeys in the Dark 2nd ed. more?

I didn’t enjoy a lot of the new stuff in legends of the dark. I found the card flipping mechanic less interesting than the stamina management in 2nd edition. And I hated all the resource gathering and crafting stuff that kept me heavily in the app every second. But that’s just me and my tastes!

Thanks. I'll have to watch a playthrough. I love Legends of the Dark a lot, with 1 exception, and it's a big one: the time it takes to get all the 3d terrain out to both set up the scenario and then interrupt a scenario to put out more "stuff", stairs, build more levels, etc. It just takes ages, and keeps it from getting to the table more.@@OneStopCoopShop

I haven’t played all of the latest ones. Carcosa is great. Forgotten age has some of the coolest thematic moments but can also be frustrating. I haven’t disliked any of them :)

I agreed on Root…and that was the only one. The group with Paleo in it was full of games I haven’t played…and Paleo looked the most interesting to me. So maybe 2?

@@OneStopCoopShop There were a lot of tough choices, but some of my picks included Marvel Champions (I taught it to Rory-story dice creator-at an Alliance trade show), Onirim, Imperial Settlers: Empires of the North, Fields of Arle, Orleans, Robinson Crusoe…so many great games. This War of Mine!!!
