Hi, keep up with your good work! However, shouldn't you use the peril and objective card that matches with the monster's level? The monster is level 1. However, you use the peril card and objective card of level 3.

Well I remember watching your other red rains playthrough and being intrigued already. I ended up on plaid hat store and realized i could get a core box, the first 3 red rains boxes, the 3 deluxe expansions with new dice type and 3 extra phoenixborn for £150 shipped... Seemed like too good of a deal to pass 😅

I believe 26:29 if there is a victim and a final girl in the same space, the victim always gets attacked first UNLESS a card (event cards i think) says you carry over the damage You dont have to listen to this but i think its thematic and a bit easier on you sometimes

I was intrigued by this game. And then you said a playthrough can take 5+ hours and that's just a hard pass for me. Once a game gets past 3 hours for a solo play it's just hard for me to get behind.

Again, an awesome looking game that seems to be really fun and a game I hadn't heard of yet. Glad to see the Kickstarter launching next week, I'll be checking this one out for sure! Hopefully with cool looking playmat and acryllic tokens as upgrades to the cardboard ones. Fingers crossed! Thank you for sharing this one.

I think the biggest change is that in EE, the First few sets of player decks leaned into "Strong gimmick, but clear lacking area that needs other players to cover". Legacy just doesn't get enough action/draws, AZ can outright kill himself if not careful, Tachy has no amps and gets walled by damage reduction, ect ect. It's very clearly a 'team' game where each deck -needs- another deck to help it's shortcoming so they can then preform well, while still dealing with the villain and environment. DE just cuts out the middleman, and makes each deck work -directly- on it's own. This in turn means it's far easier to just pick up, use a deck, and not feel like you're holding everyone back because you're the one who needs all of the draws, yet in turn I can share that feeling where each deck starts to feel -too- similar in turn. It gets to a point where in DE everyone has some sort of discover, draw, and extra play in their kit by default, and while gimmicks are more consistent, they're also not as overwhelming. Doing things like 5 decks worth of cards under bunker's omnicannon isn't something DE's going to let happen, along with stuff like 'twist the either' inf. combos with AZ or Setback "Swings every target for 30+ damage". I think in the end I can fully understand that EE really allowed for some explosive plays once you learned the decks with the best synergy, but I think DE works rather well to just pull out at a random friend gathering and get people into playing it and gives -just enough- of a taste of 'learning what the deck does' to get people interested in doing more. I also feel like the critical events are rather good at times to help push players to have gotten to grips with how the game works to start thinking about team comps and who's best to use when. Alpha's great when a deck's flooding the field with minions, but far less so when you want controlled attacks vs beefy targets. Things like that I feel is where the real legs of DE lay.

Great video have defenders and just got zombies. I like the idea of defenders, but it goes from going great to just getting wrecked fast and scrambling with little options. Sounds like we need to try the expansion with it.

Wow, great playthrough! I just recently got this game myself, very thematic and immersive! It is a very tough game; and I've yet to make it past Chapter 2 alive. But watching your campaign really gave me some tips and tricks; and definitely inspired me to take another shot at it! Cheers!

The Sherman has two gun barrels? Have mentioned it on the Gamefound page but they may have noticed it anyway. Appreciate this is a prototype. Must admit the first mission had me disappointed in the gameplay. But as the game went on and I got my poor old brain attuned to what was going one I really started to dig it. Thanks Mike, great playthrough. It's so reasonably priced I will probably back Okinawa. I've already started to think about getting a mini GI for the pawn and got frustrated cos I couldn't find a not too expensive GI suitable for the Pacific Theatre.

You could have one-shotted the Shadowbeast in the final fight by buffing your throwing axe with the potion that would have increased both your roll and damage by two. That would have given you a 5-damage first strike.

I like this a lot better than the video game. The die system with the relics is amazing and the multiplayer is way more fun. Maybe with solo the relics get less consistent, but in multiplayer games some will always go off and there are control relics to further let you influence the die roll, which in turn will also influence enemy actions. It's brilliant and I never want to spend extra turns trying to load up a pen nib to 9 or stall out so I can use my consume card before the battle ends ever again. Those are just not interesting decisions, while this game offers them in spades.

Great playthrough. Argent looks crazy complex. I'll have to give him a try, but maybe against Baron Blade for starters.

U are the best. I purchased Die in the Dungeon. Rule Book is not that helpful. But after watching ur video this game is awesome. A must buy. I love being the bad guy 😅.

so the only mistake that i saw that u did in this game is when u mount an ally in red rains that new unit goes to ur right most slot so you should had a hand of shield survival round one.

Oh man! I'm excited to try this out! I suck at real time games, but I'm still interested. However, I hope they actually make 3D models for the characters. The zoom in on the 2D board game art just looks cheesy. They could make 3D models and have them moving around and react to your plays. Edit: Oh I just noticed you can turn off the timer! Excellent, I'm in!

My wife and I might be gaming the system a little when we play. The "A card laid is a card played" rule kind of let's you just ditch cards and draw again based on that. At least that's how we have understood it.
