Practically speaking a sedan like slavia or virtus gives better value then suv's in these categories.. 1. ground clearance difference is not huge.. creta is 190mm and slavia/virtus is 180mm. 2. Sedans are designed to save people in road accidents and people in sedan are around 40% less likely to die or get injured in high speed accidents. 3. Sedans are for highway or expressways drives are are stable till speeds of 200 kmph while suv's in this category are safe till 120 to 140 kmph. 4. High boot space and more practical boot space for maximum luggage. 5. Sedans don't topple in high speed accidents..you must have seen videos of nexon or brezza or fortunner toppling but because sedans have lower center of gravity so they don't topple 6 . No body roll and high mileage due to aerodynamic designs. Well proper SUV's like Scorpio or Thar are better as they are RWD even in 2x4 mode. Most sedans are FWD(forward wheel drive) as that gives stability to sedan structrue but not to SUV structure. Also Proper suvs have wide and big tyres like xuv700 so give them road grip. People buying cheap Suv for the sake of show off risk their lives,scarifice mileage and safety just for bigger looks.

Ground clearance is not the only requirement - approach, departure and breakover angles are also important. Especially considering potholes and unexpected offroading. Now if you plan to use them only in a city with good roads, you are mad.

Imagine an all new Marazzo based on a XUV 700 platform, just more focused on luxury and comfort than performance, which XUV 700 is.

They're are only few but major changes that marazzo needs, a complete redesign of the exterior and interior(those piano black interior neither look good nor are easy to maintain), some addition of feature like adas or sunroof(just to attract customers to buy it) rather than adding any of those techy things from Xuv700 and offer the 1.2l(Xuv300 non tgdi) petrol engine and 1.5l mhawk engine(Also some cost cutting like not offering projectors and just give led reflector headlamp for top end variants to reduce the price and using stylized steel wheels instead of alloys to reduce the price). Lastly proper advertising and done this product will atleast sell like Thar or Xuv300 even with limited production

@@technovarin I own scorpio classic and definitely if I buy Scorpio N someday will definitely take it for off-roading since that vehicle is far more capable than Safari new gen…. For features I would rather choose a sedan or hatchback or if someday I am filthy rich I would go for the land cruiser or Range Rover but at any given point of time I wont buy a FWD underpowered, feature rich SUV with terrible looks, cramped 3rd row and no actual SUV like attributes. My dear it seems the definition of SUVs has changed these days personally I prefer practicality over luxury.

Modern safari is neither underpowered nor bad looking. Yes it's a FWD but so what? It's an urban vehicle and not meant for hill climbing. It's a monocoque design suited for comfort rather than dirt road. How many land-rover or ranger over users take their cars for off roading? It seems 1990s Mahindra armada is best for you. 😂

Safari + harrier sales was 5600 on Jan 2024. Yes, it is less than xuv700 sales, but way more than safari+harrier sales figure of dec 2023, by almost 100%
