It seemed like TN was going back to the "safety ball" game. Butch Jones was notorious for this. I had flashbacks from the hail mary Florida beat us with in '17. For some reason, the Vols have a bad habit of letting their opponents not only sneak back in the game, but also not trying to keep the ball in their control in the final few minutes. Check out the Vols last possession. I knew what was about to happen. And it almost did. No sense of urgency. A "We won" mentality before the game is over. 2 minutes can last 30 minutes with good clock management

Vols fan here-we almost blew it but a win against Florida has been rare so I’ll take it but we have got to fix that defense. Holy cow. Now to the gator fans saying “you’re 2-18 against us” it’s hilarious y’all bring up the past when as an overall program, UT is vastly ahead of UF in winning but I guess we can’t bring that up? I’ll still never understand why Florida went for 2 when the score would’ve been 38-28, not 38-27/29 (with the 2 points). There was no benefit to go for 2 there as it still would’ve been been a two-score game. Had we kicked the XP, when we recovered the onside kick, all we would’ve needed was a FG to tie it (38-35). Really stupid, odd decision by Florida.
