Here's a fun fact that most people are unaware of;while shipping containers are an international commodity today,they were invented here in the U.S.A by a blue collar worker in the late 1940's;and the man that invented the iconic shipping container,became a multi-millionaire at the time he had patented the shipping container.If the inventor of the shipping container were to still be alive today;he would be a multi-billionaire because of how big the global shipping industry would become nearly 80 years,after the invention of the shipping container.

Wow! Great build! U have a great eye for detail! The rubbing off of the paint on the locking corner castings, the chalking and streaking of the logo and the soot marks. Cool! Im so used to weathering these in 1/87 ho scale! Great post!😁

I can barely CONTAIN my excitement for this Diorama centerpiece. Add a roof off one side and split the interior into two spaces - office and shop and you got a garage along old Route 66. Many more ideas as well. Thanks for the build and the exceptional detailing. Until next time - I'm rolling on out.

Nice build as per normal. Just one thing, the storage box in front of the first axle is actually a fire extinguisher box and should therefore be painted red

What is the best glue to use on plastic model kits?
@Forcemaster20002 жыл бұрын
I'd like to know this as well! I see no brand name on the cap that hpiguy uses

I've never been able to find what he uses but I've had good luck with either Tamiya thin stuff or revell contaca pro (my most used stuff), I totally forget what he uses

I don't believe in saying 'this is the best' for anything, but I personally like Plastruct Bondene and that's the brush on glue you see me using in every video. Thanks

Great kit Chris. Italeri does the ISO Container on its own as a kit. I've built the ISO tanker "Stolt" version. Great kit. I'm building he Mobeius 53' smooth sided trailer, at the moment. Massive, quite a challenge.

What you need for it now is one of Italeri's Scania Cabover model kits.

Those tires sounds like they might be re-tread’s or re-caps, cool though, that’s what some truckers and trucking companies like to buy is re-tread’s, saves on the budget or whatever! But anywho, very very nice buddy, as always!! Rock on 🤘

Very nice built but you've missed a very important detail.... There are no decals (containernumber) on the top. How would a stacker recognise if he/she has picked the right container now? ;)

Rather than juggling with all the frame crossmember parts and chassis rails in the assembly (Stage 3) I first cemented the coupling plate to both chassis rails and allowed the assembly to set. After an hour or so you can assemble the remaing crossmembers in turn working from the front to the rear. A number of rubber bands help to keep the assemble fairly rigid until all glue joints have set solid. Regarding Italeri models, have you noticed how misleading some of their diagrams are? Or just plain wrong? 🥴

Can you imagine the size of a 1/25 scale container ship? 😬
@hpiguy2 жыл бұрын
At 1200 feet it would be about 50 feet long in scale. I'll need a few pallets of Rustoleum for that.
@stevenholland77864 ай бұрын
Have to you have done a lovely paint job but your glueing is terrible you don't do anything about mold seems or ejector pin marks i have seen this a lot over the last few years the hobby has become about painting and weathing not building technique it takes away from the model i love what you are doing just an old moders thoughts 😊

Nice little (or big) kit, have you noticed that italeri and revell, european kit manufactures, make the european truck kits in 1/24 but make american and australian truck kits in 1/25 scale for some reason?
