If you have been following SAVEAFOX, then you know we have been working towards expanding our rescue efforts by opening a South Location!
We can tell that many of you are very excited, just as we are, by the number of questions we are constantly fielding about it! We are absolutely working towards that goal. Our SaveAFox members have made several trips down to Florida to seek properties. In one of our previous attempts to locate a property, if you havent seen it yet, we created an entertaining video for you about the trip (visit our SaveAFox KZbin page to enjoy)! Finding the as-close-to perfect and affordable location that includes the includes the necessary zoning codes that we need, has been difficult. As we are a non-profit, our budget is limited to the funds we raise, this makes it all the more important to be certain that the property we decide on is money well-spent!
We are going to be launching another fundraiser to help expedite securing a secondary location in the very near future. If anyone has ever purchased property, it's all about the budget, the more we have, the more we have the upper-hand when making an offer on the properties we like! So we
must continue to grow that budget as best we can. It is a challenge, especially as we will always at the same time be needing to raise funds to build and maintain current fox habitats. We, however, love the challenge and love the support you all give us each and every day! It will happen.

@@thecolorfox Agreed. This is basically like any lifestock farm. Sure, you breed animals to kill them later, but among those who farm, there are those who try to give their animals good lives, and those who simply don't care. While it is obviously preferred to give these animals places to run around with as opposed to tiny cages, at the very least this farmer cares about the lives of these little ones enough to give their lives some meaning. His sense of 'meaning' may not be compatible with that of many others who wish better animal wellbeing, but at the very least he didn't just take them out of the cages, bled them out or drowned them, and got rid of the drain on his finances. He called Save A Fox, and getting angry at his choice of profession is not going to save any future foxes. Never bite the hand that feeds you; that just shows shortsightedness.

@Doofus Us Boys also wear makeup. It's called a beard. We use facial hair all the time to make our face looks skinnier or shapelier than it actually is. If you know how to have good facial hair, you'll look way better with it than without it, and many dudes take full advantage of it. @Doofus Us girls, especially young girls in their teenage, are extremely influenced by female influencers on social media, and always feel like they have to meet up with their high standards. You may think its weird, and that those girls should go and develope a personality of their own, but think of that like this: did you ever saw some muscles dude in some sport event, or even on social media, and thought "i wish i was more like him" or "i really should lose some weight". Same deal with girls, only that they will feel like it about anything, not just weight, and they are more likely to feel that way compered to boys because of males, and society in general (that is lead mostly by males if you notice), that have a very specific idea to how a woman should look, and those high standard cause such an insecurity issue for most girls to the point they feel insecure even about things they do have, like beauty or intelligence, they simply will never believe they are beautiful enough, smart enough, good enough- so they resort to whatever supermodels on Instagram and tiktok do in hope to be more like them, like putting makeup even so they have nothing wrong in their face that justify having to put makeup, and they better check no animals where harm form its production! So thats why girls are "weird" if you wondered

The guy could do many things with his life that dont mean animals suffer and die. He also has the space to increase the size of cages,etc from what i can see in the video. He chooses to give away the ones he cant make money off (probably would cost him more to kill them and get rid of the bodies) and could improve the conditions for the others (for the time they have left) but chooses not to. It cant be good for their health and therefore their pelt for them to be shut in tiny cages that are off the ground, hanging over a massive pile of wet stinky poo and wee, surrounded by other foxes within a foot of each other. It disgusts me that creatures such as this man can do this to animals. I understand that he has to live and make enough money to cover his costs but i will never understand how he can do what he does.

its terrible what this guy does but most fur farms just kill the fox's that aren't profitable. So at least he is giving them a chance but should of chosen a different profession. that being said then a breeder that kills his fox's would take his place and orders so don't hate on the guy so much. I'm from Brazil, so fur farming is not really a thing here, but I've found this: *São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil, passed a historic law in 2015 that banned the importation and sale of all fur items. 30 years ago I was also in tears asking how humans could use animals for fur, leather..how meat and dairy animals are tortured before they are killed in their living conditions up until they are slaughtered. No-one likes seeing animals live in cages. But as someone else already said, the presenter is so mature and professional in this situation. She's focussing on rescuing 2 vixen babies. If she'd lost it or abused the owner do you think she would be leaving with those foxes? Or allowed to film there? Or ever be invited back? The fact is those farms exist and if they're not illegal she's not going to get them shut down by yelling at him. That just breaks the lines of communication and then there's no cooperation in the future. Good on her for being pragmatic, putting personal feelings aside for a moment and doing what she could, no matter how hard. So many people need to learn this lesson. Well done.

Furfarms are high on that animal cruelty list. And the saddest part is that most don't realise how common these are, how little USE they actually have and finally, how much the animals suffer. So it's a big step forward that there are people like Mikayla who help these animals and spread the word.

I just have no patience for people like that, I've rescued too many dogs and cats from Mills and meat farms and each time it kills a little piece of me, as well as my patience level. Be careful what you project. How do you know he's heartless and callous? Some people are just confident speakers. He's being straight up and honest about the situation and not trying to defend himself or hide behind anything. It doesn't necessarily mean he's heartless or he likes what he does. It just means he speaks confidently. The whole situation isn't very nice but he allowed her to film, and gave these answers on camera so she can educate people that places like this still exist. We need to outlaw killing animals for their fur or skin and imprison those wearing it and all others involved in the killing and the processing of the pelts. Make them suffer for the suffering of the animals. If there wasnt a market for the pelts these brutal conditions wouldnt be forced on the animals by the people making money from their deaths. I cant stand seeing suffering and will do what i can to help. Hope the day comes in my lifetime when i can celebrate the closing of these types of farms

You would just kill them all by "freeing them." Do you have the land and facilities to keep these foxes? Do you have the knowledge and ability to care for them? These foxes can't survive in the wild, so what are you going to do to "free them?"
