I guess I've been doing this challenge for most me life! Lol. This is the first year I've used a stick with a line attached for ice fishing, always just hand jigged. My ice fishing kit was always just line and a lucky strike white and red spinner with a worm. Good stuff man. Congrats on winning the challenge

I agree man lol , all I’ve ever used was a home made rod , most times just stick with some line ! The only reason we have actual ice rods are for fishing Deer Lake where you could hook a 5+ lb trout , and your also fishing 80 feet of water , the reel helps keep everything neat n tidy ! The goal was more less just to show people you don’t need all that marketed BS to catch fish , sonars , $10 lures , ETC. Thanks for watching !

​@Braydencoish agree. I never one used a fish sonar. I watch some of these guys buying thousands of dollars of equipment and I'm looking at them like "I can out fish you and find everything I need to do so at a gas station in the middle of nowhere". Lol

@@DanielSturge exactly man. Not to be cocky but all the 10k set ups are nothing but a waste of money. What’s the point of having a sonar below where you cut a hole to see if there’s fish ? Drop your friggin line down the hole and you’ll find our pretty quick 🤣🤣

I said if you don’t have an ice auger , you could use an axe ! I used an ice auger just because I wasn’t chopping through 1 foot of ice if I didn’t have too ! Thanks for watching !
