once the bong broke the first time at the slide and stem the integrity of the whole thing was compromised, it landed perfectly on the slide, and the slide and stem are the weakest part. I noticed in the advertisements they always be careful not to drop it on the slide, and those people they approach are painfully obvious plants. Probably still good against oak hard wood floors, concrete is just too hard. Nothing is unbreakable

They dont do rhat because they know it will break. But then again your use case wouldnt be slamming your bong. Whomp it has a good product but their marketing is what makes them seem shady. If they were to just use normal use case tests like standing up and it falling, it falling from a counter to tile etc. but they do things like hit it on soft wood which we all know likely wont break it. I don’t think its worth the price though especially for the bowl. Id rather just replace a 5 dollar bowl

the drop test is a real thing for usa glass makers. they hit the floor as soon as they come out of the kiln if they break they dont pass. this has more to do with annealing than anything. scratching the glass will remove any strength out of it though. I cut glass tubing by lightly scoring it then heating the scratch its enough to cut the glass. the pipe only broke after it was scratched from being pushed by the moped tire

Well this wasn't the case though, because the glass was scratched on the bowl and towards the mouth of the stem, the pipe however broke more towards the neck, where it wasn't being scratched. It broke due to the pressure.

2:59 I have like 3 of these bowls got one for less than 99 cents. I drop it way more and harder than that and I haven’t had any of them brake. The most I have done is break of the little handle. If anything I think they made it weaker, usually those are damn near indestructible.

Years ago a head shop near me in STL specialized in it, they used to sit outside throwing their work on pavement and brick walls during rush hour to get people in the door. Beautiful pieces too, not just clear borosilicate looking like what's in the video. Guarantee if you look online for "heady, double blown, hard glass" you'll eventually find something, or connect with a glass blower, they should have the know how or where to go.

They literally say on the website when purchasing do not attempt this cause it might break and doing this on purpose will not result in a new piece or refund. I own the 18in and have dropped it multiple even had it slip on accident while cleaning and it hit my sink really hard. It is almost like if spike a glass piece as hard as possible on the steam of the beaker, it's going to break. Crazy.

There’s a serum you can use to dip the piece in to help stop it from breaking but I wouldn’t smoke off it lol. The company uses 7mm thick glass which is the thickest you can buy unless you wanna pay for custom sizing but that just makes your material cost a lot higher. I’d laugh though if they were using 44x4 glass tubes because then they would be just as thick as the regular straight tubes while they say it’s unbreakable

Yo I had one sent to me by Jet a couple years back, the thing was the nicest bong I’ve owned and I’ve had thousands of dollars of glass over the years. It’s not glass, it’s a super strong acrylic. Has hundreds of percolation holes at the bottom. Shit was too fire. I had that and a Phoenician Engineering grinder at the time and both of those bitches got lost 😭 drove off one time with my $90 grinder on the hood of my car and didn’t realize it till I made it to where I was heading. And the Jet Waterpipe got lost in a move when my kids and my girl and I moved to this new house. And this was probably at least 3 years ago so I couldn’t even imagine how far they’ve come now.

I will say that I knew it wouldn't be unbreakable. However, with the bong, I think what happened was that the weakest point of it broke first and weakened the rest of the structure which made it break super easy. Again, I don't think the companies ads are remotely close to reality, just saying what I think happened in this specific instance.
