@@Soul_Tomato If you do mention him in a 2nd video, it might be good to mention that he governs Siuslaw because it contains Florence, which was where Frank Herbert was inspired to write Dune. Also, both Paul and his mother have the pure-blooded trait, which is a reference to the book, where they are part of a very carefully bred genetic line. Another reference to Florence, Oregon is the coat of arms of the duchy of Siuslaw, which is a reference to when Florence authorities blew up a beached dead whale. Sadly, I can't find a reference to Florence's accidental ban on sex, though I guess 3 separate references to the same city would've been a bit much.

Your benefits, prestige, and public opinion decreases as you age. It’s the only faith I know in the mod that punishes you for being TOO OLD. 😅 It also gives Faith-based Men-at-arms (Skirmishers called “Youth League of Warriors” resembling Stalin’s Bolshevik/ Mao’s Red Army. The description said “a band of youthful revolutionaries spreading the faith through violent means” It also has the “Vows to Povery” doctrine resembling a more socialist aspect. Makes sense given that Argentina until recently has had welfarist-Unionist policies.

So a few other neat things you didn't mention. - There are several faiths that can show up in New England, namely the catholic Veiled Cross who can choose between aligning with either the conclavians or the Uruslines or going their own way, or the Transcedental club, also quakers have a holy site there so they can show up as well as the Arcanists, a reformed Occulitist faith. - The Galvanists honor and rever unions and unionmen, the leader of the musical union Hill is a reference to Joe Hill. - IIRC there is the madrigal family in Colombia; ie from encanto - The fathomless in the loosest possible sense are Christians. Shorebound Jehovah is their household god, the lord of protection and humanity.

A fun fact in Venezuela is that you'll notice a region named Apure ruled by a Bárbara Gallegos. This is a reference to the Venezuelan classic novel Doña Bárbara, about a strong woman in a still very savage Venezuelan llanos (it's basically a western style story), written by the Venezuelan writer Rómulo Gallegos. There's also a reference to Venezuelan traditional llanero musician Reynaldo Armas, iirc it's her vassal. And a reference to Venezuelan independence father José Antionio Páez, who was also a llanero. Also many cultures in Venezuela have the cheesemonger tradition which a reference to our long tradition of cheese making lol

Back in the day I used to play a lot of the ck2 version of this mod that I ended up going to the subreddit alot. I live in californias southern central valley and made a suggestion on some refrence to Cesar Chavez because he was pretty impotant thing over here and some guy working on the mod said hell think about it. Flash forward several years later I end up playing the mod and playing where I live and was very surprised to see they created a whole religion that was a fusion of Catholicisim and Cesar Chavez's Bracero movement. I thought it was really cool that they added that as I was just hoping for a character refrencing it or a mercenary band.

In Chile there is a faith based aroind the Cybersyj program, a planned economic computer system that would havr helped calculate the best moves for Chiles economy, envisioned by Allendes economic minister. The name of the Kanadeva Sampradaya faith's "founder", Mahacarya Upnehima is a reference to the Manhattan project (I think?) and Robert Oppenheimer(I'm sure). I think this faith originated from the records that Oppenheimer said "now I have become death, destroyer of worlds," which is a phrase said by Krishna/Vishnu.

Regarding the Kanadeva Sampradya, im guessing this is likely a reference to the Nataraja statue built in front of the CERN institute in Switzerland. The institute is the largest particle physics lab in the world I'm quite certain?? And also houses the large hadron collider, and all this would be why it's related to the atomicist faith i suppose The statue itself is a spitting image of the icon of the faith The Nataraja itself is a representstion of Shiva, the third of the Indian puranic triumvirate of gods. The Nataraja is among one of his forms, and means the Lord of Dance (coming from Nata meaning dance, and Raja meaning king). Nataraja is the ultimate dancer, and his dance is supposed to be the cosmic dance that reflects the flow and movement of the universe as his dance creates, motivates, and destroys the universe in a cosmic cycle. I suppose that explains the writeup of the faith. The statue itself is a bronze made from a wax melt method. It was donated by the Government of india as a reflection of the large Indian diaspora that works at the institute, or something to that effect Of course, as others have pointed out, its prescence in arizona and the text of Mahacharya Upenhima is a reference to the Manhattan project and Dr Oppenheimer, with the nuclear bomb being an avatar of Siva, who is the "destructor"
