Such powerful Jo Kata. I love doing all 20 in the 8 Directional Octagon Pattern. 8 moment right side. 8 movement left side. 16 individual techniques in all. Add multiple techniques per direction. Or mix it up with Jodan,Chudan,Godan. Get really wild.

I just love jo work. I love it so much I have a solid stainless steel jo. And a steel broken. Really kick YOYR ass. My wooden jo which is a 5.5 closet pole. Just hums in air. Yes Katana a deadly weapon. But the distance of Jo and Bokken is different and the Jo has tow fulcrum of energy and power. I can always pick up a stick,mop,broom or tree limb if I have too. But who carries a katana in public.
