Should we go to business school? Or go to college for a business degree? I would love to play the long game, and I would love to become an entrepreneur. I'm older now, almost 40, and I've always been in the caregiving field. It's what comes naturally for me. But! Last year I went to work with my stepdad in his pallet recycling business. Now the work there- was too much for me. Plus the Arizona summer was too much for me. It turned out the pallet business was his baby, his pride and joy, and he really wanted to bring me in on the business. But! Pallets- is just not my thing. I can absolutely see the potential in the business! But I just don't care enough about pallets, you know? Anyway- (sorry for all the back story, lol) what I did learn from the experience was that owning your own business is not easy work. But! I loved knowing it was my family's name. I loved coming up with ideas for businesses that I could do! And I learned that we can make a business out of almost anything! Anything that someone needs or needs help with - we can set up a business for that! Another thing though, since I am getting older- I don't wanna clean houses anymore, or babysit or do yards anymore. I've done a lot of that in my years "on the side". But with having no idea how to break into all of the online/techy stuff - and no longer wanting to trade my physical body and hours for money... How do I find my way into these passive incomes? How do I find all the ways to make money online "and pick one"? Would going back to college, and studying for a business degree help me? A life coach? (Those are expensive!) I watch all these videos and it sounds easy, but when I try and put into my own words- I feel lost! How do I break into the entrepreneur/passive income/even better- the "work from home" entrepreneur/passive income world!?

I've taken several of Steve's online courses as well as attended this year's virtual Seller's Summit -- all are absolutely fantastic!! I'm a very non-technical person and really appreciate how much Steve de-mystifies the field of e-commerce!! I heartily recommend Steve's You-Tube videos as well as his MyWifeQuitHerJob materials and blog posts. As a refugee from a corporate job, Steve's common-sense advice is invaluable!

You have a business partner, didn't know that, what do they do? Good principles, I especially liked the compound interest in every area of life.

With your wife’s business being open 24/7 and with her fulfilling the orders herself, are you still able to go on family holidays?
@mywifequitherjob4 жыл бұрын
Of course. We have employees and a warehouse. She focuses most of her time volunteering at the school

MyWifeQuitHerJob Ecommerce Channel Ooh I somehow was under the impression you were running it without employees. Not sure why 😀. Sorry. Way back when you started the business, did you abstain from going away until you hired your first employee... or did you close the shop for a week or two back then, to go on holiday and spend time as a family?

Before we had employees, we would stop fulfillment on vacation and give people a coupon if they purchased regardless
