Many people discourage me by saying that animators get very less wages and have to overwork and there is no future in 2d animation . I kind of get demotivated hearing these things. Are these true?

They are I think but if you choose your jobs wisely I think it'll be easier. But I'm not in the industry so maybe it's not true.

Yea 2d animation is slowly dying, personally, I have a job and work in 2d animation part time(freelance), I do it because I love it, but you gotta be realistic, that’s why I have a main job, to feed myself.

I think animation, especially 2D is dying as an industry in America, however 2D animation on platforms like KZbin or instagram get millions of views and many people have been able to live off these platforms. My advice is to build a community on social media platforms instead of going into the animation industry. A lot of people aren’t willing to pay for 2D animations at the price their worth, but when you are on platforms that allow ad revenue, those would be what pay you and it adds up as you build a stronger community, not to mention when you get to a point where people maybe willing to actually pay you for other content, like on patreon. I recommend you look into how to make your own online business, instead of finding one if you go into animation.

So, I currently teach animation at a college and want to eagerly tell you that having no future in animation is far from the truth. 2D Animation isn't dying in America, or in any part of the world. It's actually skyrocketing at the moment as we are currently in the midst of a 2d animation rennasance. Big companies like Disney realize this and have recently hired people specifically for 2D. Mexico's animation scene is growing, Australia's animation scene is growing, and places like France and Japan have been continually huge players in the field. Now, in terms of pay and work rate, it always depends on the company. Japan's work load and pay rates are notorious for not being good, but there are recent movements that are slowing changing this. People are aware that art and animation is at the forefront of entertainment and everyone is eager to make it better and more sustainable. 2D animation won't go anywhere, What you'll most likely see going forward is more and more use and combination of 2D and 3D elements like 2D animation and 3D environments working in tandem being composited together. I really encourage you to pursue 2D animation if your passionate about it because I'm confident you'll find that there is a place for you wether working in a studio, or freelance, or even here on KZbin:)

I have a difficulty in drawing poses especially dynamic poses or poses in perspective and foreshortening. I just can't get it right. I am not able to get those images into paper. Could you please suggest something that can be of help.

How did you quickly change the brush size at 11:46? Ctrl+alt and Alt did not work for me on window 10 OTz 1.6 That's some great exercise!
