Oahu is my home, I was born here. I couldn’t choose for other people, some would hide in bunkers to survive, and that’s their choice, can’t say it would be wrong. I wouldn’t though. I would go down with my island. I will if this does happen. I just can’t see a future for myself without my beloved home, and all it’s wonderful animals and plants and people….

Because in real life it was a false alarm. In the film it was supposed to depict what would happen if the missile did hit.
