Well, enjoy the rest over the holidays then. Regarding modern CoD I think I'm in a similar boat, playing CoD and Apex legends over the last few years has made me really jaded and even resentful of all the live service bullshit, the fomo and other engagement-maxxing tactics. I've gone back to playing counter-strike and team fortress 2, games that keep me engaged simply by being actually fun to play, as well as working through my backlog of single player games and I'm having a much better time than trying to grind out battle passes in aim-assist infested games. I think I'm just done with that whole part of the industry now

Those slow safes you tried to drill in the Vondel Cruise Terminal were for a Shadow Company story mission...the Tier *5* story mission. that's why it was slow; you're meant to take the entire game to do it.

btw that safe in the cruise terminal is a tier 5 story mission - you have to destroy some explosives and eventually have a 8 minute holdout against tier 3 bots, it’s not very good. story events have to remain on the map at all times and accessible to (almost) every player :-)

S0ur this is cool and all but did you know that the GMC Hummer EV (badged as HEV) is a line of battery electric heavy-duty vehicles produced by General Motors since 2021, and sold under the GMC marque.[13] The Hummer EV is offered in two variants: a pickup truck and a sport utility vehicle (SUV), unveiled in October 2020 and April 2021 respectively.[14] Weighing roughly 10,000 pounds (4,500 kg), the Hummer EV is among the heaviest consumer automobiles currently sold in the United States.[15] Its size, mass, and acceleration have led to concerns about the danger it may pose to other road users in the event of collisions, as well as its efficiency and environmental impact.[16][17]. The Hummer EV is assembled in Detroit and has batteries produced by LG Chem in South Korea, with plans to later start producing batteries in the U.S.[18] It is intended that SUV models produced from 2024 onward will be able to charge other electric vehicles using an onboard 19.2 kWh charger.[19] The electric motors' torque profile makes it suited for towing trailers. It includes various technologies, such as cameras that allow the driver to see underneath it and four-wheel steering.[20] The SUV variant is rated to tow up to 7,500 pounds (3,400 kg) and seats five passengers with 35.9 cubic feet (1,020 L) of cargo space behind the rear seats and 81.8 cubic feet (2,320 L) with the back seats folded down. The pickup truck variant has a longer wheelbase than the SUV.[21] The pickup variant has a 5-foot (1.5 m) high loadbed with a payload capacity of 1,300 pounds (590 kg) as well as a 11.3-cubic-foot (320 L) front trunk.[22] It has eighteen cameras installed, as well as front-and-rear pedestrian alerts designed to aid drivers' situational awareness. These accompany numerous other driver-assistance features such as automatic braking and blind-spot warnings.[23][24] It weighs 4.5 short tons (4.1 t), with the battery weighing almost 3,000 pounds (1,400 kg).[20] With a gross vehicle weight rating of 10,400 pounds (4,700 kg), it is classified as a class 3 medium-duty truck in the United States.[22]

Brief edit after re-watching the video (well, re-listening to it in the background), it felt appropriate to say thank you for just.. being entertaining and earnest. It's nice, as per usual. It took me 41 minutes to realise the mission text was edited in by you and Activision did, in fact, NOT keep track of the number of games you were into your DMZ journey or address you as Maj-Gen. Sour. This was surprisingly entertaining to watch, though with all the uhm... technical difficulties and overt monetization, I'm definitely glad I haven't played in years. (Yes, obligatory "enjoy your content even though I don't play COD anymore" comment. Wholly original, I know! :D)

I wish you really liked the gamemode to keep playing and getting the upgrades but it is what it is. Personally it’s my second favorite side mode to ever be created in CoD. I do agree that some of the stuff doesn’t have as much value bc the devs devalued a lot of the items for no reason. GPUs used to worth a lot but the only value they have is completing upgrade challenges. I know you don’t care about losing your loot or gaining loot from other players but that’s what keeps me playing. I love the thrill of it. Killing a squad and taking their loot and contraband is satisfying and fun.

From what I know about the Koschei Complex after collecting all the notes is that Koschei is a secret Soviet bunker with various secret Soviet projects such as the gas from the Defense Research Division which is probably the same gas used by Barkov in Call of Duty 2019 but I could be wrong and a Cold War era super computer in the Alpha Cluster called M-550 and was said to be more advance than any computer of it’s time but the complex would be abandoned along with all of the secret projects for some reason it could be from the collapse of the Soviet Union by 1991 or something else that happened in the mid to late 80’s probably related to Call of Duty Cold War However there is a document that sometimes spawns near an evacuation elevator in the Alpha Cluster and it connects the Konni Group with Koschei Complex saying that Konni used to guard the Complex before until it had to be abandoned however it always talks about a new facility that they would be guarding and if you open the Koschei Safe you will find a note about Building 21 so from I could conclude is that Building 21 is the successor to the Koschei Complex and whatever was being developed in Koschei Complex is now being continuously developed in the new Building 21 most likely the gas

Not gonna lie, I didn't expect to sit down and watch the whole hour long video, but here I am at the abrupt meta ending lmao I just wanted to add to that comment you referenced towards the end talking about missing your guides specifically: I also really appreciated your "personal touch" and "attention to detail". Pretty sure I found your channel while I was doing camo grinding in MW 2019, and I watched all of them even tho I never made it to Damascus before Cold War dropped. (also the camo spreadsheet was invaluable) I watched all your Cold War guides as well and what was what made me really stick around and appreciate your stuff was the fact that you were the only person going so in depth to measure things like battle pass xp in MW2019. It was insane to me the amount of effort that took, and then you did it again for cold war and warzone. Can't lie, I am sad to see you quit making CoD content and I really haven't been looking at your non CoD vids tbh, but all good things must come to an end. I can't blame you for being sick of what the game has become, I didn't even bother with Vanguard at all and quit MW2 in season 2. Somebody gifted me MW3 (and MW2 that I stopped playing lmao) and honestly the thrill of killing people in it is still fun to me and I still have hope for the next Treyarch CoD, but I can't care about IW or SHG CoD anymore. Like you said, tons of free to play alternatives are out. Anyways, appreciate what you did for the CoD community and I will continue checking in with you every now and then.

I really appreciate this video s0ur. Genuinely didnt expect to see you revisit it. Find it fascinating how you went through the missions, and how very little seemed to had changed. Sure a couple of new areas in seperate maps are nice - but the whole gameplay loop seemed the same which did surprise me. Also interesting seeing you dive into it after all the updates without knowing the ins and outs. Im aure there will be many newer players that will experience dmz late and either suffer to lack of map/mission/story knowledge- or at the hands of the experienced players that know all the ins and outs - and possibly even a few cheaters too. Its very easy to see me playing the game after a yr, and experiencing the exact same stuff. I dont think thats a good thing either. Highlights how shallow the mode is, and for people that seem to sing it praises, dont even seem to agree with each other as to why as well which is sort of funny to me. GG s0ur.

LETS GOOOOO! I actually uninstalled it when they announced support would be cut for good since they'd never fix the bugged missions and dailies. It never even left Beta, talk about an L. I think the part that disappoints me the most is how much potential was left on the table. No out of match barter system where you extract rare items (like gold bars) to unlock exclusive rare items (such as operator skins/blueprints). No way to queue with other randoms who need to do the same mission as you do like a mission finder. No way to barter items to help other players complete their dailies (I'M SO SICK OF EXTRACTING 2 VCRS OR 8 CANS!). It's the only extraction shooter where 90% of the stuff you extract doesn't matter.

the end of the video has some great points about modern cod, never even thought about some of them. I like modern cod, but man is that matchmaking taking a toll on my enjoyment sometimes. The games nowadays just teeter on the edge of "how much can we piss off fans while keeping the gunplay fun enough to just barely look past all the issues." I think mwII was intentionally stunted in QoL improvements so that mw3 would just be an exact clone with the only selling points being some tweaked settings (like the slide canceling etc). Anyways, almost got into another anti-cod rant, i know what you mean.

I truly miss DMZ and i feel like its the gamemode with the most potential to become an actual tarkov competitor if IW put a tenth of the money they spend on Warzone into it, seeing it go from absolute trash to starting to become decent and then abandoned in one year is terrifying. Modern COD gunplay is literally an industry standard and MWII movement felt perfect in that mode, i know that they will bring it back as its been confirmed by developers but it needs to be a STANDALONE title, not just a side mode. MWIII zombies is the worst iteration of a Warzone gamemode they've ever made and i barely played 300h just to grind the camo and unlock everything while i played 1000+ hours of DMZ just because it was enjoyable.
@xzeuii Жыл бұрын
Regarding Tarkov: The recent wipe is the most new person friendly, and the best update we’ve had in YEARS. The cheater problem isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. The g0at video did a lot more long-term damage than it did short-term “help”. It’s reach has surpassed Tarkov and everyone thinks “blah blah game filled with cheater” with nearly every game. If you want to get acquainted with the game, Arena is also a nice mode. Separate purchase now though since they removed the EOD edition. Regarding pace: It’s like DMZ where either nothing can happen, or you’ll be in the middle of a warzone (wink wink) Regarding wipes: You grow numb to them after a bit, but they’ve already been stated to be going away come 1.0 release. TL;DR: I like it, and, as a fellow Destiny-loving COD-hating PVE enjoying 20-something year old, I think you’ll like it too

The game is poor to communicate this(and it's honestly fair) but DMZ does have a...decent amount of stuff to earn. Again, it is VERY, VERY poorly communicated, and not a substantial amount, but every tier X final mission & a few of the normal missions might give a interesting reward, like a operator skin, a blueprint, vehicle skin or...eh...a calling card. In the first season or so, I think they had mission rewards like Operator Skins that HAVE NOT COME BACK AGAIN, just as an extra. I mean, they communicate there's rewards but...they've very small icons that you most likely are gonna ignore/not notice.

@virtualprojectile Жыл бұрын
@@S0ur Just finished watching. Sorry to hear it didn't resonate with you. I thought the tier 5 missions, weapons cases, upgrades, buildable blueprint, and serpentine completionist camo would scratch that itch. I completely understand though that those rewards are meaningless if you aren't interested in engaging with the COD "ecosystem". (Why unlock a camo or blueprint if you will never feel the desire to show it off?) I still do believe that if you and your friends made an honest, open-minded effort to try and complete the weapons cases and missions, you would enjoy the game a lot more. When you load in ambivalent towards what's going to happen, of course the stakes aren't going to feel meaningful and your experience will be s0ured. That being said, I think Act IV added a lot to the video and helped to contextualize your opinion of DMZ. It's a shame that modern COD is so trash, and again I do not blame you at all for stepping away (except for these one-off videos). If the game ain't fulfilling, then the rewards for completing it won't be either. I love your videos, and I'm glad to hear you enjoy making them. I like that you don't compromise on quality for engagement. I think your commentary on the responses to the Game Awards situation serves as a good metaphor for your channel. It's not all about engagement; it's about making something you're proud of and that other people enjoy and see the beauty in (even if it's a silly gaming video). Keep it up ❤️ P.S. During your hiatus, they added pleading and removed 6-man squads. At face value, this seems good and was met with celebration from people, but in reality it killed the emergent gameplay the mode was made for (in my humble opinion). Now there's no reason to collaborate. Shoot first, ask questions later. In my opinion this led to DMZ feeling like Warzone-lite with bots. I could go on about this forever, which I did in this controversial post: www.reddit.com/r/DMZ/s/XbUj5poMQ1 but I'll spare you the details.

I had fun. I like DMZ quite a bit, the map is big, there's plenty to do, the quest system can help focus your attention on specific objectives........ but I don't like the PvP aspect lmao. I'm a huge bitch when it comes to that sorta thing, especially as a solo player, so it can feel almost frustrating, but hey that's how the mode works and I'm not gonna complain about a mode in a system I don't even play or care about at the end of the day. It's a shame that support for the mode is eventually going to be cut, they very easily could've kept expanding and improving the mode but hey, suppose that's just not where the money is.

MWIII Zombies is pretty fun if you make sure to get geared up properly and all that. its not a perfect mode by any means but its fun and i hope some of the issues get worked out someday soon like making the stash bigger for keeping loot in, make the insured weapon slot cooldown work for the schematics too considering some schematics have a 2 day cooldown, etc. But i do like that with the zombies each zone has their own difficulty and it gets harder in each zone. Anyways, great video as always and i hope everyone had a good Christmas!

Trying to play the newer games just feels like having someone repeatedly spit in your mouth while promising they aren't going to do it again. I want to feel bad for wishing the current series iteration the absolute worst (as well as those in charge), but holy shit that Game Awards reaction is pathetic; bankruptcy is the bare minimum. I just hope we can get some truly creative minds back in charge, CoD has just turned into Madden/2K with how blatantly soulless it is. I'm preaching to the fucking choir here, but hey, at least it can't get worse than essentially desecrating a corpse for 3+ remakes! On the somehow bright side though, this is one of the only channels I still actually enjoy seeing make CoD content, whether that's a campaign playthrough or a simple "My thoughts on DMZ/MWIII" video. I would likely love whatever content you put out, but I would be lying if I said that experiencing the game go to such a level of pure shit through your videos didn't make the journey much more entertaining. While I do miss older (~WWII era) videos, I'm kinda hoping to see some random twitch notifications eventually, your streams are always really fun! Hey s0ur, have you considered trying the spec ops raid episodes? i’d be more than glad to help with them if you’d like.
@S0ur Жыл бұрын
The main roadblock to trying them was them not being free, so I'd need to borrow a friend's account again, which I could do, but is kinda awkward. Then I'm guessing I couldn't help being somewhat mocking / cynical, which isn't really the video type I'm most proud of (and have a few of recently), so I'm content to leave good old II alone. Perhaps in the distant future, thanks for the offer 👍

@@S0ur No problems, i’ll be in your discord server for when/if you want to do the raids

dmz was actually cool, and I'm glad that they used it to frame what MWZ is

I would be willing to hear more of your thoughts about destiny 2, I have stopped playing but it’s always interesting to see people’s takes from addiction to like a normal person who enjoys the game.

Hah, yeah for me I think it boils down to it being my ideal genre. Responsive fps, a universe I enjoy, love the music, loot to grind but not full mmo level of grind, social endgame but plenty of solo play, day 1 raids & solo dungeons being the main reason to feel invested / "prepared". I don't have much reason to play a ton currently, but it's something I'll always enjoy checking in with, and look forward to the big releases.

@@S0ur I’d definitely agree with it being a light mmo and it is still a type of gameplay style I enjoy, but I since I had been playing since like destiny 1 i can’t help but not trust bungie after everything the game has been through. More power to you to enjoy the game though, hopefully final shape won’t cause their studio to go under.

since you dont like cod anymore are you gonna upload other videogames ? most of us here are clearly because we like you not only because of call of duty also ive been really enjoying these higher-effort videos i dont have much time so it takes a while for me to watch them whole but theyre really well made
@S0ur Жыл бұрын
Thanks, although I know people still generally like seeing a game they recognize as opposed to something completely unfamiliar. I expect to continue with classic fps playthroughs like the frequently requested medal of honors, more old cods, with some occasional unrelated games. I also aspire to finally stop talking about my channel splitting from cod tips lol, people gotta be getting sick of that 🙏

So get this the safe will stop drilling or at least be super slow unless you’re in range of it’s progress bar
@S0ur Жыл бұрын
No, I was standing next to it watching the slow speed. Meanwhile, the Japan safe that I walked away from only took a minute. Those were apparently mission safes meant to take most of the game.

@@S0ur you cut most the drilling (even though I wanted to watch the full EPIC SAFE DRILLING GAMEPLAY) so I couldn’t really tell

I liked the PvE stuff but never enjoyed the PvP elements of DMZ, so honestly i really enjoy MWZ. And with how much I have enjoyed the season 1 content for MWZ, im hoping it'll keep me content until round based returns in gulf war.

I really wanted to try DMZ, nearby gaming cafe have it and I tried it! I was disappointed, even warzone feel boring... I guess I like them because of the content creator and not the game itself

Yeah I stopped playing cod after mw2019 and boy has it felt soooo good, I’m done with all the bs from the matchmaking to the egregious shop bundles and cringe ass collaborations and even the poor communication; cod is past its prime and it’s not coming back

After spending an entire year playing DMZ, you kind of needed to play it as it was being updated. This final state is not at all what is was like before

The amount of cod points you have Is tied to the combination of your account you are signed in to + the launcher used to start the game. For example, I can play Warzone through Steam or Battlenet, and have the same progression, loadouts, skins etc. and 2000 cod points. If I start the game through Battlenet however, I have 700 cod points. If I buy the battle pass for 1400 cod points on my Steam account, I will have 600 left, and the 700 cod points on Battlenet will remain untouched.
