TRAINS! These cheeky little metal snakes are one of the hugest technological leaps forward of all time in many ways, responsible for allowing the masses to travel the world with ease. But the tech and style of trains hasn’t been stagnating ever since. In fact, all new trains are created on a regular basis, and some are bordering on sci-fi. These are the 20 most advanced trains existing today!

You skipped a very advanced train in Australia that run driverless 30,000 ton ore trains in dessert conditions that exist today .

Oh come on, you are starting with the most stupid "train" idea in existence? I mean, sure... on paper it sounds like a good idea. But (So glad Musk's tests showed how stupid the idea actually is). Don't get me wrong, the concept in itself isn't even the problem, it is the pod idea that comes with it. Let's split our perfectly fine 350+ passenger vehicle into 200 individual vehicles and shove them into a vacuum tube... what the bleep could go wrong. The Velaro series in use by the Dutch NS are specifically for trips to Germany and are co-owned by DB. The NS does not use the Velaro trains on their national networks. For trips to Beglium they use Alstom trains (Coradia Stream) I will never set foot again in a train that was buildt by AnsaldoBreda, regardless if they are working with Bombardier, Alstom, Siemens or Suzuki. I am kind of jealous at the Asian train networks and their rolling stock. Spain: you are showing different types here. I see at least the 103 and 102. In fact, I am pretty sure that when you mention that record speed you show the Talgo 350 (Renfe type 102) and I am also fairly confident I saw the New Pendolino (Abant s-114 in Spain) at some points. The 103 is of course just the slightly modified ICE3 Some of those Shinkansen look amazing but that flat faced one... probably the ugliest nose I have ever seen on a train. European High Speed in a nutshell. It is either a (modified) Valero ICE, or a (modified) Alstom TGV. Of course there is Bombardier and AnsaldoBreda but we do not speak about AnsaldoBreda.(Yes, I am still mad about the Fyra) 13:58 That is an ICE1 (DB401) Fun video but 20 trains is stretching it. Several itterations of the same trains just slightly modified does not make 20 different trains. I would say we get to 14 or 15 at best plus some older versions sprinkled in (less functional for what you are telling but a pleasant sight for a railfan ;) )

When you said first about Shinkansen, you also included some takes of a train that wasn't a Shinkansen. It was the Japanesse Maglev which beats the world record for the fastest train in the world. From the most recent tests, it reaches a speed of 702 km/h.

Your so called revolutionary single rail train from Germany by the Herman company was introduced over 100 years ago by Louis Brennan called the Brennan monorail. And the way it worked was far more ingenious than Germany's idea.

There is a little bit of confusion on italian trains, in this video there two different type of train one (silver and grey) is Freccia rossa 1000 property of Trenitalia, produced by Bombardier, the red one is AGV property of Italo, produced by Alstom, used a lot in France with name TGV. TGV Train Gran Vitesse is a common name, not a model, there are many model of TGV. In German ICE 3, is the same of Velaro Rus. Al Boraq train is an Alstom Euroduplex.

Sad that none of these (except for that "loop"y pod thing), none of these are in North America, and it will probably be some time before we see any. This is probably due to the fact that governments here show little interest in it, and that in turn is probably due to the influence of the car manufacturing industry.

High speed trains will never really take off in the U.K. unless an external body is given complete and unrestricted control of the U.K. railways and that will never happen in my lifetime, not least because there are far too many sectional interests involved and they are way too powerful

Memeloop idea was created with the sole purpose of tanking the "ordinary" high-speed rail for California. It's not an ambitious project or a startup or whatever. Pure smoke and mirrors stuff.

What a shame the images don’t match with the text and have often nothing to do with the subject explained… 15:44 There is no such thing as a High Speed Link to Tibet ! The last 960 km aren’t even electrified…! 27:14 Double articulated Trolleybusses exist since a long time- it’s just another thing nobody needs… As usual - your text is spiked with false information and the videos used are misleading 😢 👎
