Jeff, you just make the best content for drummers, bar none. For any drummer who actually plays consistently in a band, your content speaks directly to the real day-to-day challenges we face. Yours should be the #1 drumming channel on KZbin. Thanks for making the videos you do, because nobody else is doing it, consistently.

You really are one of the best drum channels on YT. I'm not even a drummer (yet!), but your content has largely motivated me to get started, buying a kit before the end of the year!

Very nice! Could you do a video how to include splash cymbals in fills? There is not much helpful on youtube and i like to play metal and find it adds a really unique feature to the fill

My ekit is disassembled packed away waiting on the move coming up, my drumming reduced to practice pad for now but I'll have a great Playlist for when i have it back up and running

I am really glad your back at it, really glad Jeff, your too talented my friend, great video. I have a question are you using like 12 or 8 strand wires on your snare, it sounds great but I am wondering the count?
@JeffRandallDrumming12 сағат бұрын
It’s good to be back! Honestly I had no idea. Just checked and it’s around 19 strands.

What sizes of drums do you use ?
@Шизлманизл20 сағат бұрын
Oooh, this reminds me of an idea about something I wanted to ask for a long time ago, I feel like as a beginner my taste in music maybe is not that developed, but I can already tell that I love fills that are done purely or almost purely on cymbals, so no toms, snare or kick. Like in Bonobo's track - Silver (love that groove btw, but not sure if its played on real drums), I think there is an example of those, if I am catching it right. Is it possible to do some videos on that? Or is this type of context actually non-existent?
@JeffRandallDrumming19 сағат бұрын
Just the first fill is an example of what you’re talking about but you could certainly create a bunch more.

@@JeffRandallDrumming what kit you have and cymbals you play?

Nice variables. I noticed a second floor tom tucked behind you and could tell if you were utilizing it?

The second floor has been relegated to essentially a table. It’s a tale as old as time.

Absolutely. There’s a lot of tools for creating solos within these examples.
