The 35th Ave and Dunlap sign. 😂 #3 Murkemz wow, love it. I’m personally not super into the newer rap styles, so that one really stood out. But overall I’m kind of surprised how good this is. There are plenty on this list that are much better than what’s out right now. Phoenix is a major city, I know smaller underground rappers from random countries who perform here. They’re literally traveling across the world haha. Tommy Cash performed in some tiny ass warehouse for one night, and he’s from Estonia! I don’t understand how we don’t have a rap/hip-hop scene. Phoenix could be huge. I’d love to see some locals make it. If not, it’s going to be me. And no one wants that 😂

It's kinda sad, really. Much like our sports teams, we get one (maybe two) really good ones that somehow emerge from outta nowhere, then fall just short of making it big enough to beat other states' competition...then a long rebuild until somebody comes along to put us back on the map again. On the other hand, what's the lesser of two evils - being known for accidentally killing more pedestrians than any state or having a reputation for elite rap and gang activity/violence? I think I'll settle for the former over the latter.

@@mazelion6645 not as much as some, but some neighborhoods downtown and the far East Valley, for sure. We had a few every so often when I lived in the Peoria/Glendale area too and they always hung out right at the end of my block...not sure how violent they were, but we had a few gang-related crimes and incidents within the neighborhood. I found out my former next door neighbor there was in one and we were decent friends. Then, one day he was arrested for pulling a knife on somebody at school...don't know whether or not he actually used it on anybody, but I was like "damn!" He didn't seem like that kind of person, and nobody would've ever guessed. You just never know.
