Mark, I'm surprised you eat that skin of the cucumber. Here in Ponad we always peel it. The skin is full of pesticides and artificial fertifizers.

Your tongue-in-cheek teaching style is amazing. Is tongue-in-cheek here proper? I understand it as talking about something serious or not in a funny way. Could I use just crunch without ON? The dog is crunching on a bone. The dog is crunching a bone. Thank you.
@MadEnglishTV4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! 😃😃You're absolutely right! Tongue-in-cheek is a great way to describe my teaching style! Yes, you could remove the word "on" but I think it sounds better if you leave it in there.

Hi dear teacher, Mark. Thank you so much. Whenever you post a new video, I get super excited to see what I am going to learn. I really really appreciate all of your precious time. One of the most practical videos you have ever posted. You can't believe that sometime I am looking for a word to describe a situation and I have no idea how I should find the English equivalent of that word from my native language and even translator can't be helpful most of the time and and I get disappointed. I have found your channel super helpful. thank you sooooo much. What an amazing language English is! I can't believe that you have used too many words here. In my language with tell things with just one word or combinations of other words. But in English all of them are new! very interesting. By the way you look so funny in this video with those mimics and expression on your face :)) Love you teacher to the moon and back :)
