Pedantic, but FF7 was actually running 25FPS (PAL)/30FPS (NTSC). Notice how the frame counter has two numbers? The first is the internal FPS, that being the FPS of the game itself, and the second being the external FPS, which is the emulator's.

A large part of the PlayStation's success was that it didn't have a single defining game that made it iconic; it had MANY defining games! It was a joy to be a gamer during the PS1 era as it made good games affordable to play (to play a game like doom or command and conquer back then you had to have a £800+ home pc!) and gave people all new gaming experiences, Silent Hill, Metal Gear, Pepsiman (lol) If they put 100 games up on it that still isn't enough to make this console prove how awesome it was. i am sure happy that sony completely botched it up so that it can be hacked to be the console for YOU, who probably have a totally different list of classic favourites to me. cheers to the hack!

It really is kind of amazing how much of an epic fail the PlayStation Classic is. Sony had no excuse; Nintendo already put out a "Classic" system months before them, to mostly good reviews---they effectively wrote the book on how to produce a good retro console. All Sony had to do was copy their homework...and they still failed. Literally no R&D was required to make a good product and even _that_ was too hard. How is that possible?

You are correct - the game selection is not the greatest. The only real way to remedy this is by homebrew (BleemSync). I think the Nintendos did a much better job capturing games that defined the system much more than the PS Classic has, but both can be modded post-purchase. You make it seem as if on the Nintendo classics these display options can be customized individually from the factory, which isn't the case. You either can choose 4:3, 4:3 w/ Scan-lines or a pixel perfect image. You can only use one at a time. Also, there are no border options on the Nintendo systems. While customization is great, both the PS Classic and the Nintendo twins both leave something to be desired. Not ALL games are using PAL ports. While a good amount of them do (and really shouldn't), that is making the situation sound much worse than it is (whether you misspoke or not). This also wont affect image quality, just the speed of the game. Not sure what you were trying to get at there. The controllers not being wireless is a preference thing. Yes, it would've been nice, but if they already were going to charge $100 for this system they would've asked for more if it did come with wireless controllers. PLEASE be more direct and obvious about the real possibility of bricking your system if you mess with too much. You briefly touched on it at 5:26. The video is mostly done, and you've already shown how to get into the menu without any prior warnings about how this can mess stuff up. Come on, Kevin. I mean this in the most constructive way but this video was very hard to watch.
