Hopefully the Hive Life Conference was a success for your company. I preordered foundation from you and picked it up there. I spoke with your team there and was very impressed with your customer service. I hope you are there next year also. Thanks again for speaking to a small time bee keeper from Arkansas it was appreciated.

Hey Kamon. I am a new bee keeper in South Carolina. I bought two nukes June of last year. It is now the beginning of February 23. I’ve had these two hives for about nine months. One hive was doing really really well all summer and fall and up till a month ago my numbers were large in that colony but about a month ago I started seeing about 100 bees a day dead on the ground in front of the hive. I did my oxalic acid treatments in the fall and I’ve done a Alcohol wash about a month ago and I have no mites . I have been diligent in keeping my small hive beetles to a almost 0%. The problem is well actually there’s two problems I have subscribe to a couple channels and ask questions and no one ever returned my comment. I have nowhere to turn. The real problem is I don’t know why my bees are dying off. I have been feeding them this winter and now being in February they seem to be bringing in a lot of resources. I have tons of brood but now I am starting to see my bees pull out mommies. I’ve asked a few people that are bee keeper‘s and they have told me to do a mite a thol treatment to no avail every day I am starting to see more and more dead bees. They literally fall off the landing board twitch and stumble around for a while and then die. My population is deep cleaning despite of all the brood. Could you please give me a suggestion? Like I said I did mite treatment, no hide beetles, no AFB, no signs of chalk brood other than the mummy bees recently. I’m not sure if you read your comments or if another experience bee keeper could help me. I have six packages and three nukes ordered for the end of March and I don’t want to make the same mistake that I am making now. Just not sure what it is? And by the way I love your videos they are so informative and you get right to the point and I have complete trust in what you advise

I hived a small colony with brood I caught in a swarm catch. The bees seem disoriented and hover around the tree where I caught them. What can I do? They don't seem to remember where I hived them.

I think you are short-sighted. Throughout the years all Bee-Keepers have changed their operations as they adapt to changes in products and the environment. Randy Oliver, Bob Binnie, Frederick Dunn are among many Bee-Keepers that have modified/improved their operations throughout the years. I have watched all Kamon's Videos along with the others, and found him to be an honorable young man and calls it like it is, and admits to his past mistakes, and brings new innovations to the forefront. And he has been promoting Premier foundation since last spring. I think they picked a very good representative for their product. Craig Fr. VA / SML Bees.

Jimmy James. Yeah Bob says to keep it to 10 years........ I love old combs and new combs. It is the guys that say you must change it every 2-3 years that don't have their facts right and cost new beekeepers their money. I base my information off of what actually works for me not based off of something I read somewhere. I draw thousands of new combs a year and sell that many off in nucs but when I started out combs were precious. Try showing some class Jimmy.

@horizontalbees34802 жыл бұрын
@@CastleHives Brian I have thought about building a observation hive and I came across a video of some one that built one and gave the blue print to building one. It is really not that hard to build. Don’t tell my wife but when we remodeled our living room I’m going to build a horizontal hive into our wall that can view the bees. Lol 😂 Okay she does know about my crazy idea but hasn’t given me the okay. I will try to find the video of the observation hive for you and if you need any help just let me know. I like building crazy things as you will see in a new upcoming video of some new hives we have built. Even had one lady that wanted a hive to lay on.
