I think Rob's got it wrong a bit here. If you pissed off a Thai... no, you are not getting forgiven and getting a second chance... they are going to hold that grudge forever. They will however smile and pretend that it's all good now. It's the Land of Smiles... they smile about everything but what's going on inside can be completely different.

Nope, I've got friends here that were angry with me years ago but now we hang out and all is okay. 3 years to make so.

lol I didn’t leave the uk to come to Thailand for a younger woman. I came to escape the tyranny and corruption 3 years later, I have a Thai girlfriend and she is the same age as myself…… forty something 😝

Well. It's the weekend, so it isn't a big deal. But If the kids had school to attend in the morning, They should be in bed before midnight.

Hi Rob, Do they still play the Eagles Hotel California there all the time, like when I was there 20 years ago, or have they finally gotten tired of it? Lol

Glad to see more frequent videos, Rob. I know it's gotta be challenging to come up with new stuff. I like your idea for viewer input ideas and I'm looking forward to seeing how you creatively address some of them.

I understand what you are talking about and I agree with you looking at this culture/society from an outside point of view, but after being here and in a relationship for several years I can tell you there is one thing you are missing. The Thais judge each other. They are extremely concerned with saving/losing face to people around them in their neighborhoods. This is a big deal. They do gossip about each other, and they absolutely judge each other, but I get you because it’s something that we don’t recognize or engage in or (like you said) are really even victims of ourselves. It’s subtle, it’s reserved for Thais, but it does happen. Thanks for making good VDOs. Peace

Reminds of the couple from Denmark who were charged with child endangerment in nyc. They left their child outside the restaurant in stroller while they had dinner. This is an everyday thing in Denmark. So is nude sauna tho it makes Americans start foaming at the mouth....

Yes the Sabi sabi idea and all the other things makes sense to retire here without the nonsense or rubbish they are forcing you to adopt. Just like some tourist places like whale rock it is all up to you where anywhere else it is roped off or have barriers.
