Quick Cast has been my default since day 1, makes a massive difference when I see my friends play on normal cast or quick cast with indicators. After that, it's definitely disabling chat. Game is much more enjoyable and it really doesn't interfere with communication as much as you'd think.

Checking and editing the NVDIA and monitor settings are probably the most useful tips in this video since these can't be found in the in-game settings, so altering them seems unintuitive to me.

Haha I actually knew that first tip. (I tend to mess around with options a lot) Another tip that I was surprised wasn’t in the video; in champ select you can favorite champs by right clicking them and selecting the roles you like to play them in. Doing this means you can favorite off meta champions that won’t usually appear when you select the top/mid/jungle/ADC/Support filter You can filter the champ select to show your favorite champions on the top of the select screen This allows you to cut down on time during champ select and have your champion pool shown outright so you can more adequately choose what champ you may need at a moments notice.

Vortex x as someone who regularly logs in 30-40 hrs a week in games and most during wknds alone, switching refresh rates won’t do that at all. I play a lot of shooters, honestly 60hz is better for me to play mechanically but 144hz is for visual aspect.
@jonathannguyen41765 жыл бұрын
Vortex x dude even shroud the living legend doesn’t have a preference. It’s literally all relative. While it all boils down to the player, there is no noticeable difference in gameplay besides the feel of the hz of a monitor. There was an experiment with this with LTT I believe, shroud didn’t have a drop off with the different hz monitors. Yes 144 feels better and looks better, gameplay doesn’t change. Mechanically it may be harder for some if you’ve had a shitty pc before like me. I got used to it relatively quick but a lot of my friends said it was unplayable. It does not matter how many hz you have it’s your skill.

Honestly it's less about win condition and more about fundamentals. Play around your winning teammates and don't take fights without them. Always pay attention to the numbers on the minimap. Not related to video, I just wanted to thank you for making such great content. I’ve played back in season 2 and then 7 and 8, but only for fun and I was picking whatever I liked and played any lane I felt I want to play. Same thing was going in s9, but few months ago I felt I’ve burned out in competitive fps games (top4 Apex EU on ESL, won matches on faceit vs pro players like s1mple or even grinding out top40 squads worldwide on fortnitetracker in season 4). I’ve always considered LoL as a hard game, that’s why I left it back in s2 to play competitive CS. Few months ago from funny videos from League I saw clickbaity title of one of your guides about new op strategy for a jungler (red -> raptors -> crugs -> early gank/jungle invade) and I started watching your videos. I’ve watched a lot of your guides in a week and I started progressing instantly. From g4 I’ve managed to get to p4, where I stopped for a while, because I gave Rainbow 6 a shot hoping to restore my drive to play competitive games. It kinda helped and I tried my best at it, but I still had that thing in back of my head that I knew I could go higher, because I finally started to understand League. So I’ve managed to get to d4 in less than a month by playing not even every day, just when I felt like I want to. If I had more time I feel like I could get master, so that’s going to be my goal in next season with some hopes to reach challenger. I hope you’ll create a lot of jungle guides with upcomming changes. Thanks again

E.g.: mid lane and you are low life and there are like 20 caster minions which take million years to clear dont do it. Clear most of it so the enemy still has more minions than you (wave is pushing to you naturally which is good) and base. If you dont clear any minions the wave will push to fast to you and will crush under the tower which is bad You will miss some minions but your enemy will miss even more.

Depends on matchups. Pushing usually helps you roam and secure more objective. However it allows enemy to comeback. If enemy is a scaling champ better freeze as denying cs/xp and harssing will ensure they remain useless .

@TaIathar5 жыл бұрын
@William B Adding to what you said on being extra ahead. You want to be far enough behind your opponent's minions that they're forced out of exp range. If you don't know what exp range is, go into practice tool and just stand in river while the minions fight. Gradually take small steps forward using right click and then S key to move very little. When you start to gain exp, that's exp range. It's mostly used in top, with some varied use in mid, and rarely used in bot. I'd say it's about 94% top, 5% mid, 1% bot. EDIT: cuz typo :P
@kristinebrooks86925 жыл бұрын
to elaborate on freezing when behind, it helps to prevent being dove as you arent far enough away for them to engage, but the wave isnt under turret so they cant engage without taking shots while walking in

This was pretty good, I wasn't expecting to actually learn something new, but I didnt know about the targetted attack moving and had been using it exlusively to kite and check range until now, might give it a shot with the setting enabled later. Since I learned something, I'll share some knowledge as well. For attack moving, you should have a dedicated hotkey to see range ans targetting, as well as a "quickcast" attack move button. Luckily, there is an option in the settings to enable your left click as attack move, I have been using this for a long time and playing some ADCs would be much harder without it. However you need to be aware that it turns every left click into attack move, so be prepared to hold shift when clicking on your minimap or anything you dont want to attack move towards. It took some getting used to, and I would often die because I would click the minimap and walk somewhere I was not expecting. However, if you pull through and get used to it, you will find yourself better equipped to use attack move in a smoother way. (not a single problem anymore, there are no downsides other than that) Edit: could have gone deeper into the tech aspects of fps, a 60hz monitor is enough for competitive play as long as you are getting good fps. If you can double your refresh rate in fps then you will always be seeing the most up to date frame possible. If you just have 60 or less it should be fine as long as you dont have v sync on, you will be at a 1ms disadvantage at most. Virtually non existent outside of lan professional play. It is much more important to know your monitor's latency itself than it is to go above 60fps. A 3ms lag 60hz monitor is better than a 90hz 5ms lag one. On a 144hz you should be safe though as those are unlikely to have more than 2ms of lag and often have just 1. You should still check before buying but its usually the best option because of the quick response 144hz will give you, even at less than 144hz fps, if you have 70 fps on a 144hz monitor you will still be seeing the latest frame rendered every time. And lastly: If you are prone to tilting, you need to work on that. Muting is great when someone is already tilted and you need to shut them off to stop them from tilting you, but you should try to have enough mental fortitude to listen to your team's chat, its useful when they aren't raging. All chat is also important, when someone uses it to trash talk or complain about their own team in solo queue, you know that person is the ideal target to bully into tilting. Now, dont be toxic and start insulting them, that doesnt work anyway. But have your jungler target them. Tilting an enemy (through gameplay, dont be toxic) is a completely valid solo queue strategy and the jungler camping an enemy toxic player's lane will often cause more trouble to the enemy team than the jungler just helplessly trying to save their own losing lanes. So as a rule of thumb, if you are jungling, try to snowball winning lanes and only help losing lanes if you are snowballing yourself and you are sure you can help. Do not camp a lane you are losing and die to their laners. Instead, get fed on a winning lane and carry the losing lanes into midgame.

@doublesalopetoimcre5 жыл бұрын
in my experience if you only care about elo you should be otp. so if you get your main role and your one trick hero, you have a better chance to win in any moba. important to note the following issue, if you are a one trick pony style player: you will be out or some cases far out from your league, if you get auto filled, get your champ banned or taken by enemy due to pick order. so if you want a shiny border (diamond, master, grand master) and not play league as intended feel free to play as one trick pony. if you want to play the game as riot games want pick two roles, one is your main role (the role you are better at) and a secondary role (your second best role). try to be good with 3 champs for both of your main and secondary role. the ladder climb will be slower, but you will be a better player overall. its my personal experience so feel free to agree or disagree. lets have a chat about this if you want guys :)
