Once you hit the top 15 it really started to get good. And some of those top picks are imo the best shooting games of the entire 16-bit generation, especially the last few. People get so caught up arguing about literally 30+ year old utterly deprecated technical feats that are no longer impressive on any technical level at all other than to people still worrying about what 30+ year old console was ultimately the best back in the day when it actually mattered on school yards, but a game like Parodius Da! looks aesthetically beautiful, sounds brilliant, has more charm and character than most of the other acclaimed games of the generation combined, is wonderfully fun to actually play, is a top3 shmup of the entire generation bar none imo, and is just an awesome game that has totally passed the test of time.
