So Ive played a lot of mercy parkour and one of the trickiest things is using GA to get inside doors when your teammate is outside the door. Its actually useful in gameplay too since its a good escape tool. Basically when you GA, you tap jump (no holding angelic descent) while looking a little bit downward to give you a lot of horizontal momentum that will also clear the doorway as the vertical momentum is downward but not straight down. Especially useful for doorways that have downward stairs in them

For the GA jump rez techs, if you're scared you'll overshoot or not move into cover, I recommend first slingshot and then rez when you're finished with your jump boost. I find it to be smoother than jump rez at the same time so you have better control over where you're positioning but it is slower since you're rezzing after the jump.

A note about arch GA: if you let go of crouch right as you GA, you can consistently get an arch GA. I find this useful because it allows you to get to higher places when youre around halfway through your full GA

Great video, im definitely gonna start using horizontal rez and floor bounces I also wanna add that with the backwards ga nerfs, it allows mercy to sj rez between the range of the 2 already mentioned one I practiced it a lot and it feels consistent and it actually has quite a lot of control (technically not an sj rez but has the same purpose) Basically, you ga to the soul (while that you turn your back to the soul, about 180 degrees) then look down then backwards ga while rez 180 turn is needed otherwise the soul might not be in range and even when it happens to be in range, it is easy to cancel. I generally use it in mid range.

the ledge bhop tends to be not useful, but specifically for echo its pretty important because she goes faster during a glide, so she'd want to have more glide time. she can also do this by activating flight from the ground without jumping

I'd like to mention that 'wing tapping' also works with crouch (since crouch also triggers Angelic Descent). And you can bind crouch to mouse wheel to not have to tap ctrl/spacebar like a mad man (-;

Hey, I think that have found a way to manually do an arch ga. You do it by activating ga right after letting go of crouch. You want to aim for activating ga as soon as mercy starts raising her body.

to make arch ga u need to walk on a small elevation like rocks on 2nd checkpoint on blizzard world and after a split second press ga, similiar to old superjump timing

There is a more consistent way to SJ Rez from afar: when you fly to the soul, point your crosshair right under it and hold S > Jump + Rez. It works with full meter since backward GA speed got nerfed.

There's also reverse crouch GA; you press crouch, let go, and right after you press GA. This will send you flying at a higher distance than normal. Learned it just now in parkour lmao

ngl as much as I love the new GA techs and everything - I kinda miss the old Ga and Superjump from OW1 T.T I spent like 4/5 years learning it and I really enjoyed old superjump. What is the ideal setting for Guardian Angel you think? I saw some useful tech in this video, but it seems some of it I can't do without changing my setting from "Prefer Facing Target" to "Prefer Beam Target".

prefer facing target can get you the same benefits as prefer beam target - you just have to be more intentional with your camera. basically, if you want to use your beam target for GA purposes but there are people in view, you have to look away from them (down at the ground is typically a good option) so the game will send you towards your beam target instead. it takes some practice to get used to but I'm sure you'll master it quickly!

I can't figure out why, but I can never use any sort of movement tech when holding down forward. Pressing or holding spacebar just does nothing. Therefore I can never use the V guardian angel tech. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I think it's about the timing, which can always be super finicky with mercy techs. I'm not an expert whatsoever but from the video it looks like you can't hold W when you initially hit GA. you have to hit GA on its own and then press W in the middle of GA while looking up. I could be wrong but that's what it looks like to me. I've never been able to do it because I'm generally holding W when I'm using GA even though that's not always necessary because if you're using prefers facing target or facing target only, GA means you go forward most of the time

Tbh I don't think the SJ Rez is worth it anymore. GA CD is too long now and more times than not Mercy doesn't have los so she don't have anyone to bail her out after committing to the Rez. Matter of fact I don't see anybody do it anymore :(
