I know that pve probably would get boring, but i loved frontier defense from titanfall so I hope one day there's an ltm or something that is a more fleshed out experience than something like hunt.

I always thought with how the legends play on abandoned military bases cities and settlements, duardo would have the legends pay increased if they helped deal with pirate and raiders who raid certain poi’s and we have to defend them. Almost like a frontier defense/ horde mode. Would have been really cool. Especially since overwatch partially committed on a PVE mode.

I don't think the original devs who made frontier defense even work at respawn anymore Maybe some people working there have worked on PVE type games but I really don't trust respawn to put their heads together to give us a proper PVE mode that works well Especially when they're primary focus is spent pleasing EA with $20 skins and lackluster BP for us players The reason 90% of their development effort in the game sucks ass is cause they spend all their time making new weapon skins, character skins, weapon charms, stickers, loading screens, music packs, dive trails, banner frames, banner poses, tackers, emblems, emotes, holo-sprays, quips, and heirlooms all while trying to come up with a new legend each season which makes them have to repeat the majority of the process again and again The only time they take a minute off the "development process" is when theres a game breaking bug that's ruining the season and depending on how bad it is its either patched in a week or patched in the next season So on the off time they are actually developing the game further they test new weapons and items to add to the loot pool that we don't see until 3 seasons later like the nemesis or the rampage if we even do see them at all

Slamfire Bolt was probably a shotgun hop-up, given that slamfire is a thing you can do with some shotguns where you hold down the trigger and pump the gun to cycle new rounds.

Respawn needs to experiment with some of their unused ideas, and make silly and wacky LTMS with them, they's be able to see if the community likes them, and keep the game fresh. Like maybe a gamemode for the explosive ammo, where every gun explodes or something

The name of the slamfire bolt says its most likely for the peacekeeper or the 30-30, seeing as slamfire is a term for holding down the trigger on a pump action/lever action gun that doesn't have a trigger disconnect and continuously racking the bolt to fire

TBH if there was PvE mode I would have like it to be more like frontier defense in TF2, not necessarily a defense, but with extra perks, upgrades, new enemies, co-op, and maybe mode exclusive guns

I think the Deathbox insight could go to Skirmishers or Recon, meanwhile something like the Syphon on kill or the reduced ultimate cool-down on kill should definitely go to Control Legends as they definitely need a second passive the most. It’d make it fairer for said classes to compete against Assault and Supports who have 2 passives.

I feel like they could have added the goleith if they made it like the trials on worlds edge. Put it on the edge of the make far away from any common end zones or popular poi's, make it so you have to summon it by choice and only then will it appear, and give good loot to whoever kills it. I don't see any problem with that tbh. also btw pilot helmets made it into the game still but as the heirloom legend skins, they all have pilot helmets

The kill boost would make sense. But I'd make it a "wipe boost" like, if you wipe a squad after using your ult, you get a significant ult charge that could help with defending against 3rd parties.

Apex had mirage leaked to be Yoru from Valorant before he was thought about. It would have been cool to have a yoru flash if decoys are shot still a good buff idea IMO just needs to be balanced well Edit- mirage also has a leaked heirloom item similar to Wattson, it was a photo of his family If I remember right

Slam firing is a shotgun mechanism. In world War 1 or 2, they would shoot by pumping. Not pump THAN shoot. ( Faster firing) 😊

I’d assume slam fire would be PK or mastiff referencing the WW1 shotgun the Winchester 1897 which had a slam fire feature where if you held the trigger down and slammed the slide forward it would automatically fire the round and Germany tried to ban it for being “too cruel”

i wouldn't give my hopes up on the Explosive Ammo part being fully scrapped. With the Charge Rifle being a Railgun now, i don't think the idea of adding explosive guns like Rocket/Grenade Launchers or Laser Cannons is out of the woods yet.

For the slamfire bolt hop-up, I don't think it would have gone on the P-2020 due to how it's worded. Slamfire is when you have a pump action gun and hold down the trigger, racking it over and over, and it fires a lot quicker. I think it would have gone on the Peacekeeper or Mastiff, but honestly either of those being fully auto, even with ridiculous recoil, is wayyy overpowered.

Explosive Ammo was datamined a while ago, along with RPGs like the EPG, the Softball TF2 gun and the Antitank RPG from TF2, those weapons probably would have used explosive ammo. I think there were ping lines for it too if I recall correctly

The biggest argument I have for explosive ammo would be the fact that there's many movement abilities in Apex and even a legend without any would still be fast enough to efficiently avoid rockets and grenades, the only worry would be how they work in-doors, but there's already legends who have tools to prevent base grenade spam, and I feel like explosive ammo would make those legends even more useful.

Slam fire is a reference to ww2 shotgun use, where instead of pumping the shotgun and pulling the trigger you would hold the trigger down and pump it fast to fire quicker. I think it would have gone on the mastiff and the ok and made them full auto. Would love to see it!
