The sad part about that Ranger Battlefield 2042 charm, is that EVEN if you DID have Battlefield 2042 AND EA PLAY, It would only work some times! I've had EA Play for 3+ years. I DO own Battlefield 2042 and it's random. Sometimes when you log in, you MAY get the reward for the time they did them. It's also sad that Respawn forgot about EA Play and doesn't do exclusive items for them every month anymore. Need For Speed still does EA Play rewards. Another funny note is that on Battlefield 2042, EA Play members got to play the game early before even the premium game edition, and yet that ALSO didn't work, I had to message EA themselves for the game to even work. It's the most useless, and careless feature. AND on top of that. When the Monster situation happened. Coca-Cola messed up and released the cans half way through the promotion. It was nearly impossible for the first trial of codes that many non insane drinkers couldn't complete. So Coca-Cola and Respawn released the promotion again and some of the cans out there were working and some now weren't. It was a whole cluster of maybe it'll work, maybe it won't. Only the content creators that got a code to unlock everything from the promotion were the ones able to even get the rewards... Thanks, truly an Apex Legends experience.

I worked at EA nearly 20 years ago now and they were trying to implement live advertising into Battlefield 2 and 2142 all the way back then. And it functioned fine in test. No idea why it’s taken them so long to pull the trigger, EA loves money!

Hey grrt I went to the ALGS and there was another code that was being given out and only a very few people who have gotten a code for 6.7k apex coins (I got 2 codes) The way to obtain it was going for all 4 days and trying to find 5 hidden nessies around the place every day they would have been in a different place and gotten harder to find but unfortunately when I claimed the code I've never gotten the apex coins I've emailed EA about it they said it was a bug but have yet to gotten anything back yet 🥲🥲

Adding ads to the game would be okay if they were optional things (example, watching an ad for some crafting materials and the ad recharges every couple of matches you play) But forcing actual ads in the middle of my gameplay is going to make me quit this game.
