Early rubiks brand turned horribly compared to what you could get online. In the last year or so they've basically coopted the basic features of speedcubes into their standard design (rounded pieces, spider core, tension for cornercutting, anti corner twist protusions on corner pieces, torpedos to prevent popping, lube channels)
