do you mean the taller man? tyson was just as heavy, or heavier than his opponents about 70% of the time.
@lifewasgiventous16145 жыл бұрын
Size is determined primarily by height. Taller people have larger bone structures.
@Generatorsarefake5 жыл бұрын
Life was Given to us This is mostly true, but Tyson was structurally bigger than most of his opponents too, though. He had big wrists and ankles, his proportions were better than the average heavyweight even after accounting for height. Tyson had a true heavyweight structure, he was only short.
@lifewasgiventous16145 жыл бұрын
Generatorsarefake I see what your saying but I think that’s more of an appearance thing, he held his weight differently because he was shorter so it made him look more stocky, but most of his opponents had 4-6 sometimes 7 inches on him, that’s a huge difference structurally, x ray them and you would see how much smaller Tyson was than most of his opponents. He absolutely had a boxing frame though there’s no denying that, i just wouldn’t go so far as to say he was bigger than most of his opponents. Again I’m not determining bigger in a sense of more muscle, but literal size of there Limbs, that all relies on height because height isn’t just seeing over people ,height is having a larger frame all around broader shoulders, bigger bones etc.
@Generatorsarefake5 жыл бұрын
@@lifewasgiventous1614 I understand. I just get confused whenever someone interchangeably uses size and height together. I stated he was just as big, or bigger than his opponents because I checked his record where they listed his weight along with the opponent's. I really had no idea size=height for most people. @@MrTaurrean I can get behind this. Seeing his blatant lack of fundamentals so clearly in his second fight with Fury as well as the fact Teddy Atlas said he didn't know how to fight shows what you said is very true. 5:20 Tyson switches his stance in mid air, throwing a leaping left hook and then a right hook....while throwing left hook Tyson forcefully shifts his hips and widen his stance, traveling off angle far past his opponent's centerline, by the time it had connected, his lead hook usually turned into a rear hook, he was able to get the same rotation from his lead hand that he would normally get from his backhand...in his prime he was absolutely one of boxing's greatest masters

The Greatest is about the big picture, resume, accomplishment, impact. Being the best is about what a fighter COULD do, being the greatest is about what a fighter DID.
