Sure, but that also happens with a lot of those high spots involving landing on another guy. Same with the old Shane McMahon elbow drop on Big Show, and any of those. They don't actually want to hit because it could injure them both. It unfortunately has to happen that way.

It looked more like Knight was in the wrong place I’m sure that spot where how’d hit was the part designed to break plus bray was standing right in line with where howdy hit probably as a guide where to land you can see knight roll into the hole probably because where he was wasn’t designed to break and would messed both of them up pretty good if howdy landed there on his chest

The ref raises his arm in the Umaga match to signal that both guys are okay. They do this with every dangerous spot. It's nothing to do with the crash pad.

The worst one I can think of is pretty recent. The ref during the Owens/Cena vs Zayn/Reigns tag match was way too loud calling out for the hot tag to happen. You can clearly hear her say wait then tag.

They definitely aren't always wood anyway, sometimes you can see the metal ladder bend when someone gets put through it. I always assumed they were made of aluminum or something.

Thanks to Wrestling Bios for this one. Raw is War December 7 1998, the show is commentated by The King and Michael Cole. Problem is that you can clearly see JR and not Cole sitting at the announcers table, it was clearly re dubbed with Michael Cole. It was when JR was having the Bells Palsy issues and I guess his commentary was not up to standard as Michael Cole was used consistently for a while here

I remember back when Rey Mysterio used to jump out of a hole in the floor with a catapult as an entrance. One night the catapult refused to work so Rey was forced to climb out of the hole by himself and the camera caught it all. Soon after, the catapult was gone and Rey canged his entrance. Or that time Shawn Michaels' chain jacket got caught up on the entrance ramp and Shawn wasn't able to get up until he took off his jacket.

Hate to break this to ya buddy but the ladders are usually thin aluminum. The one in the shot that was precut was clearly fiberglass. Also very common for ladders. Wood would be hard as hell and break into super sharpe edges. Someone would have gotten impaled by now if any of them where wood. The tables aren’t even actual wood. They are partial board which is saw dust and glue, with thin aluminum frames.

Why does WWE act like Rey Jr. Didn't perform in WCW for like almost 2 years with no mask. I don't have WWE network anymore, but when i did you could go to a Nitro from 1999 or 2000 and there he is no mask. He lost it to Nash on one of their Ppv's.
