I am no longer working at my full time and use Lyft and door dash as my new income. Door dash alone is $1000-1400 a week Update: door dash has slowed down then deactivated my account. Been using Uber eats and still using Lyft. Uber eats has larger tips it seems

Was deactivated for no legitimate reason they said I shared information with another account. I have no other account except for ordering food and I don’t even share the same numbers or email. This is frustrating for those who understands or have fallen victim of similar situation. I have no other way to earn my income.drivers should unite and speak against this type of BS cos I noticed that’s what they’re now using to cut dasher off. I can't find the particular comment that referred me to ‘rarptech’ but whomever it was, thank you so much they reactivated my account and I'm about to head out dashing again after 2 months of wasting my time with support system

I like to make the name thing into a game so I would say my passenger's name (Mike) starts with the letter "M" but if they say Morty then I know it's the wrong person. Then I also confirm the destination address. Cuz sometimes you have two people named Mike or Morty waiting in the same location (rare but it happens). Lots of Mortys these days. 🤣👍💰🚘

Riders have your license plate number AND your name/picture. Which is more than what I get at times when I get a ride request. Rider will have some crazy made up name and no picture. Some rides will be requested by someone else for an individual or individuals which can be dangerous because you have no details on who is getting in your car. Good to have a dash camera that records inside as well as the outside by the way. Some states have laws may prohibit voice recording without you informing the other person so check your local/state laws before you do this for share riding. But I digress. Teenagers are another danger. Minors trying to get UBER rides knowing full well they need to have an adult with them. Parents should know better if they are doing this for thier minor kids. Parents! Dont be surprised if your kid is not picked up by a Uber/Lyft driver if they are not accompanied by an adult.

My first day was yesterday, and will be my last. Yeah, I got a $200 bonus on my first trip, but without it, my $/mile was unsustainable. I make at least double doing food gigs. 2 tips out of 16 trips. Had a 40 mile drive, and you guessed it, NO TIP! and to add insult to injury, the total payout was .80/mile. Horrible.

I disagree with his premise of full-time versus part-time. If someone does 10,000 rides a year at $10 average a ride that is $100,000. Obviously 10,000 is a stretch. But doing 5000 rides a year will get you $50,000 most likely. So if you're quick and you log 50 hours a week it's easy to get 100 rides a week. And that's 20 bucks an hour. And then if you do his other money making tips on top of that, you might make $55,000 a year. And Lyft now offers health insurance I believe if you meet certain criteria for free

Just did my first night driving for Lyft. Was really fun actually and time flew by! One question I have is one person I had to drop off at the airport but the navigation was telling me to go pretty much on the runways to get to where the drop off point was.... Is there a way to drop off close to where it is?? I ended up canceling the ride and not getting paid cause I couldn't reach the drop off point?

Use Google maps as a side by side. I worked my first day today and my second ride, the gps in the app was already screwing up... So I pulled over safely and used google and the app kept going nuts but google got me there. Also, The new update in the app can be misleading... It looks like google maps.. It's not.
