13. The story and character is what people will always come back for. Plot won’t be enough to hold up a film.
14. You can’t do it by yourself. Work with like-minded people who like to explore similar interests as you.
15. Write with music in mind.
16. Study other films.
17. Write empathetic characters.
18. Characters must reap what they sow.
19. Use the people around you when starting out.
20. Use projects to learn more about yourself and the important life questions.

This is truly amazing. I am very thankful that you put this video up. It encouraged . I was looking to make sure that I what I had written was up to par/standards. Ahh Scorsese. Frankly I couldn't stand you for years til I found out you were of the opinion that ALL films should be archived. "All of it", is what I think you said. I love The Red Shoes and know you do too. Liked your commentary on it. Tell R.D. my folks knew his Dad in the late 50's early 60's west village artist scene. Interesting times. Impossible people.
