I recently started fishing more and im getting ready for the river im going tomorrow to pick up a new rod what should I be looking for? I also have a 40lb test at home I'd like to use just because I got it in the garage not doing anything atm. I want this pole to be used both in local lakes max of a 6lb bass or decent sized catfish and be ready for bigger river fish can I still use the 40lb line?
