A final Cheers Jon. I'm ending my journey of nearly 40 years. I have medical issues and can only have one or two drinks only twice a week. Quite honestly I'm burnt out anyway. The prices are just out of control too. I'm just going to drink an occasional Cognac here and there. It's been fun my friend... thanks.

It has been a great ride for sure! I appreciate your comments, insight, and especially the push toward affordable drams. I hopethe next years are great, even without whisky. Cheers!

I’m in a similar boat, but I find just smelling the whiskies is as good if not better than tasting them with no harsh side effects. Also, the whiskies will last virtually forever!

@@livewithaffection6905 Interesting. I've found Cognac is what I can just have one drink of. I always want more whiskey so having it around would be torture.

@@danielmcevoy976 Maybe I am different, if I have just a little over an ounce or an ounce and a half, I find the whisky no longer tastes good. It’s like my body knows how much is acceptable and then makes the taste bad after that. I think my body is brilliant…

Hey Daniel! Will miss seeing your name pop up, and reading your thoughts in the comments. Here's to a gentle future, and a lovely wee Cognac now and then in the glass! Take good care... Marian 🇨🇦

Poured a Two Stacks (First Cut) to sip along. Tonight I'm picking up a distinctive pine needle note. It has been a great recommendation all round...cheers! I think this is the first time I've seen more 'no' to repurchase than 'yes' in the Journey's End lineup. A bit of an eye opener. Many of us have gotten a lot pickier in recent years, for reasons of quality of presentation and cost...or perhaps simply from over saturation. Personally, I now research the crap out of everything before I buy, but I wasn't doing that earlier on. So I do have bottles on the shelf that I tend to ignore, though every now and then I'll revisit them. Sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised, and other times I'm reminded as to why they're gathering dust. This is a lot of invaluable information packed into one vid. Greatly appreciated, as always! Here's to the looming weekend... And lang may yer lum reek! 🥃🥃 Marian 🇨🇦

@onewomanswhisky Glad you found time to sit, pour, and reflect on a few releases now past. I was surprised too, but I think you summed it up well, more ho hum or average out there than ever. I hope you are enjoying this late season warmth. Cheers!

Jim Beam has released the 7 Year in Ontario now, rather then the Extra Aged that replaced the 8 year (if I remember correctly). It’s priced extremely affordable at 39 bucks at 90 proof. Might be worthy of a review!

Certainly worth a review, I'll keep an eye out for it here. Thanks for the heads up!

I was able to find a game of thrones Clynelish looking forward to opening it and comparing it to the standard 14. Nice empties rundown I enjoyed it! Cheers 🥃

Glad you enjoyed it and I hope you also enjoy that Clynelish. I certainly did, but I know of a few who found it young and rough. Cheers!

My first thoughts opening the Lagavulin game of thrones was young and a bit rough but it opened up very nicely after a week or so, I’ll give it time like any bottle deserves 😊

Great video to watch. I know exactly what you mean about the Nikka coffee malt. I got hazelnut chocolate on the finish and I grew to love it. Slàinte Mhath. 🥃

Enjoyed your review and frank opinion on I won’t buy this again. Do you have a list of all the scotches that do not have any smoke or peat added. It’s always a challenge to know when looking at whiskey is this smoked and peated or not.

I do not have it in a formate that could be shared. That's a good idea to build though. Thanks for watching!
