Sheds and groundscrews, what a great combination! Especially on ground that has a slope to it.
Our client on this job has plans on how he want's to finish the gap around the floor himself, but if required we can cover the gap with decking to follow the line of the ground. It makes for a smart finish.
The groundscrew base and the shed were both installed in one day. No mess, no fuss, and as the groundscrews go through the topsoil and into the sub soil by at least 500mm, the base is very stable from season to season.
But what about the weight?
This installation was into clay subsoil. Typically, each groundscrew with 500mm of subsoil penetration will take around 400 - 600kg of static load. The worst load test result we have got on screws of this size was just under 250kg for each groundscrew. So with 24 groundscrews, this base will likely take at least 6 metric tonnes of static load. That's more than the weight of 2 big family cars!
