As a fellow chimera player, that physically hurt to watch He 100% had game in various ways, but for some reason kept summoning for no reason and losing to time Also he was playing barrier statue so he was playing part stun himself, so the loss is deserved imo

That was actually MP2 he was in, so that was pretty unnecessary. It's one thing if you end in time limit going for game, but it's another thing if you go to time just trying to overcook when your board was already plenty good. The Horus player only had 1 card in hand and only the field spell. It was a very much deserved loss for doing way more than needed.

I don't know if this makes sense but i rarely go above gold is i do is the same combos same same same everything in silver and gold there is so much variety that is fun and i play on everything from android to pc just to find new ways of players with unique decks

I would say Plat is still a safe ground. I rarely find Snake-Eyes and Stun players there. Maybe there isn't as much variety, but the last few games I played in Plat 2 was against Sky Strikers, Resonators/Red Dragon Archfiend, Dinos,, Swordsoul and Galaxy-Eyes.

Facing stun is no different than facing turn 1 boards that have 5+ interrupts. Both stop you from playing the game. At least with Stun you don't have to sit through the opponents long play lines.

Thats what hand traps are for in modern ygo, to prevent the opponent from establishing a board that strong and give you an opportunity to play and fight back. Hand traps that are mostly, if not completely useless stun against and prevent all counter. So no, combo decks and stun are not the same. And anyone trying to say otherwise are delusional and should probably just find another game to play.

​​​@@KaiserShield So you're saying trying to play around hand traps is toxic? Sounds more like a legitimate strategy when you put it that way. A good player should be aiming to BEAT the most popular strategies if their goal is to win the game, not replicate them and then whine about people who refuse to do so. Stun is annoying to deal with, but if it was so successful that other good strategies couldn't win it'd be part of the meta game. Oh wait, that's why many of the most popular siding options in the paper game are floodgates and lingering effects, because it IS. You just don't see many decks dedicated to that as an all-encompassing strategy because it often can't play well through established boards, and most of these cards are CONDITIONALLY effective, meaning decks on good in-engine back row or board breakers often do well enough against these things to keep them out of viability, and opening the wrong floodgates is often as bad as bricking on an irrelevant hand trap or one the opponent's hand can play around.

Hey dkayed, what deck would you recommend for a newish player. Been playing for about nearly 2 months. So far I played DM. Suship. Timelord and ninjas. What deck would you recommend for fun/decent decks that don't break the UR bank. Love the videos!!

I think salamangreat is a very good deck to recommend it isnt too expensive to craft because it has a structure deck and it has tons of ways to be played. Sets up a strong turn 1 has decent go 2nd potential cuz of handtraps and also has good grindgame. Check out the MDM server for the Salamangreat channel!

@@FrostReave exosister, and kashtira, also use difissure and macro, Also floo is fully unlimited in tcg and doesn't see much top play even so, I think the deck can come back eventually in md when decks are just powercreeping all the time

@@eonflutehza131 I’m an Exo main, that doesn’t give me an defense to abuse floodgates. Just ban them and be done with it. The difference between TCG and MD is MD is Bo1. And power creep isn’t an excuse to bring back problematic decks. Is Floo problematic? Probably not. But it’s Floodgates absolutely are.

Floodgates are monkey cards that even the most unknowledgeable and new player can abuse to its full extent. It’s the complete opposite of skill

@@FrostReave , "skilling" over a floodgate is a epitome of skill in this game. Sadly, not many decks and players have an answer to each one of them... Because it was meant to be like that, believe ir or not. Any deck shouldn't have every answer to all situations. I don't like floodgates but I do defend its existence due to the nature of the game. They're valid, they're part of the game since long ago and many players likes to use them. Despite of that, today's game have very little space for them. So, due to that fact, if you overcome a floodgate play it means that you required skill for it, especially if you did it with a no clear way for so (e.x. Cosmic Cyclone for a backrow one or Impermanence over a Vanity's Fiend). Also, for many players, if the opponent plays FKSE = top tier/best deck, its just "fair" to floodgate them. One has to skill around a bunch of ridiculous amounts of disruption and consistency, and the other has to skill around a stunned game state.

Also Floodgates are bad for the game plain and simple. Every floodgate game is boring. It’s either you *happened* to draw on of the very few outs and auto win or you didn’t and auto lose. There’s a reason they are getting phased out in every format. There’s a lot of ways to beat Tier 1 decks without floodgates regardless floodgates are not the solution they are contributing to the problem. Cause it’s not like they only effect tier 1 decks. Look at tear format. It was either Tear or Floodgate decks. It multiplies the problems to make the game even more unplayable

@@FrostReave , well, here's the definition... Google says that skill is the ability to do something well. Plain and simple. The definition doesn't talks about amounts or magnitudes. It talks about a well done action. In Yu-Gi-Oh, in my opinion, that translates as the correct play which puts you in favor. So, if you play Vanity's Fiend and you're dueling against a deck that special summons a lot it means that you did the correct play = to do something well. Simple? Yes, but very effective. That player recognized that Vanity's Fiend is very effective against decks like those and he play it. That's it, and that's skill, no matter if is simple or not.

Unicorn needs to go. You can't pay one of's in the extra deck anymore. You literally have to play an extra just to get around this card. This reminds me of the dd dynamite bot days where you had to play 13 to auto win. Of course that was more annoying but so is unicorn. It's too much knowledge from opponent, has big body, easy effect on single card. Just my personal take.

Anyone else find those plays by justinian sus? Almost like he was able to see his opponents hands. Imperming diabelstar with like 3 in hand,playing around droll game 2or3 special summoning in draw phase but didnt do it the other games when opp didnt have droll. Like he knew what was in his opps hands and played accordingly. He also maxxc his opponent in draw phase disregarding a potential gamma which would have lost him the game cuz he had no other handtraps. Just seems really sus
