The weight of water in a pond exerts a downward force over the entire floor area, not all on one spot. Meaning if you had a 2 metre column of water spread over 1 square centimetre of floor, it would exert 0.2 kg, or 200 grammes of force only. Fill a 1m piece of 22mm waste pipe up with water and see how little it weighs. Add up the floor area of your pond in square centimetres and divide the number of litres of water by it and the pressure isn't that great, much less that you standing on it in shoes!

Sounds like I need to do a video with a pipe fill of water sat on the foam to shut these people up once and for all!

@@GRPLiningServices I worked it out that with a piece of 3/4" / 22mm waste pipe, you would need over 3 metres to fill with one litre of water. 1 litre only weighs 1 kg My pond holds 25000 litres (or 25 cubic metres or 25 metric tonnes), but spread over the floor area it comes down to 2300 litres per square metre. There are 10,000 square centimetres in a square metre, so I am only getting 0.23kg per square centimetre. As long as there is no gap to allow movement the foam wouldn't compress, even if there was a gap, the pond fills slowly and it would settle

You dont have to do videos like this. You are happy with your work, your customers are happy with your work, thats all that matters. If you put yourself on the internet, you will get trolls, unfortunately its nature of the business. They havent got a clue what they are on about. You dont have to justify yourself to anyone. Just ignore them.

Takes someone to set the record straight about what’s what. It’s ridiculous to keep reading the stuff online some people post as fact with zero evidence to back it up. 20 years using my methods is good enough proof of concept yet some people think they can come along and discredit it. Had enough of them.

Buy the time the resin has soaked in it would become solid so theres no way its going to compress 😂
