If you care for the outside, that'll probably be the typical result.... but not always. Thanks for watching and sharing!

Lol. This is exactly what I commented about on your previous video. 👍

Lol, you mean that you gravitate to Penn and Shimano? If that's the case, wait until you see one of his TLD's that had the same kind ot "treatment" 🙂

@@TSGReelService great thanks...any idea where to buy it?

You're welcome. The person I purchased it from isn't currently making them. You can try checking eBay for something similar.

Where did you get your bearing puller from?

Thanks for watching! From a guy that's not currently making them. Sorry.

@@TSGReelService it kinda looks like a cotter pin.

Don't know what that is, but maybe that could sub, then. If you try it, let me know how it does.

@@TSGReelService it’s a pin that is used to go through a bolt or nut and bolt and is bent at the ends sticking out preventing the nut and bolt from coming off

I spend way too much money on fishing tackle every year. The last thing I need is to watch it corrode away due to my negligence. I go one step further and use soapy water first with a soft brush then rinse with clear water then pat dry. Basic Maintenance works.
@TSGReelService Жыл бұрын
🙂 agreed, but not always.... I'll put one of his TLD's up within a week or two... that didn't fare as well. However, overall, I thought his reels did well with basic washing after every use.

Im not service my ultralight reel by 10 years, even never washing and it still working good)) some days ago im open this reel. If interesting, one photo in my "channel". Black reel on photo.
@gungadinn Жыл бұрын
@@iCrocodile I have no idea how you use your reels, but sitting in a rod holder on the rear deck of a boat that goes offshore for bill fish and tuna kicks up a lot of spray. Brand new reels that get any rail rash on them start to corrode in a 18 hour trip.

I’ve watched some of your videos. It is totally obvious that you don’t have a clue about reels and repairing them Look at you Penn International 50SW tutorial You didn’t rub the Cals off the dura drag washer. You didn’t service the bearings. The drive bearings get opened and packed with marine grease The spool bearings get oiled I was doing 10000 reels a year before retirement. I was the number one parts purchaser two years in a row You sir need to look at some Alan Tani tutorials to see how it’s done
