Nice work man. I’ve been working on two SC’s, my daily has just shy of 500K miles and I love it. Those lower ball joints are horrible to get out. I eventually pulled off the entire knuckle and control arm and took them to a machinist with a monster hydraulic press and paid him to just take care of it and press the new one in. Best $ I’ve ever spent haha. Keep up the good work.

I’m be got a 2003 with 275,000 on it and just recently had my front tie rods replaced, they were the originals ! When I see what goes into suspension work or axle work, it just reminds me that I’m NOT gonna do the job ! Lol. It goes to the shop. I’ll gladly pay. Ha, it looks so easy when somebody else is doing it. Thanks for posting.

The bolts on rear sway bar bushings has a predisposition to snap. Take a 12 mm box wrench and just bust them off. They are just tack welded. You can then use a replacement bolt and nut. Has happened to me on more than one Element.

Nice job! What kind of torch is that? And how much do you think all that work would've costed you if you had paid someone else to do it?

I have a burnzomatic torch with map gas (slightly hotter than propane). The torch I needed was oxy acetylene and that took the ball joint stud out of the control arm
