The whole thing of "katanas are so badass they can cut a bullet" has always made me wonder if other types of swords do the same thing (a longsword, a cutlass, a claymore, etc. Cutting/chopping swords, not like a rapier).

the real question is could the rapier bore a hole down the middle (JK) but imagine xd

A good sword should be able to slice through mild steel sheets like a grill is made from. That type of steel is quite a bit stronger then copper and lead. Any decent sword should be able to cut through lead or copper with little effort although they may chip if the grind is thin.

@@xdas32 oh yeah, regular lead anything can cut it, even your finger nail. But most modern ammo is jacketed with copper or brass. Sometimes made entirely of one or the other or even jacketed in steel. Those are much harder to cut.

I think the clay is actually put onto the spine of the blade to slow down the cooling and make the spine softer. Faster cooling on the edge makes it harder but the spine is softer and springy (opposite of brittle). That makes the sword overall resistant to permanent deformation or snapping (failure) when chopping. But makes sure the chopping edge stays sharp and doesn't roll on itself after hitting something.

The first angle where you saw the first bullet hit the ground after it split 3:11 was way better than seeing your backs when you shot subsequent rounds. Why couldn't the camera shoot from behind the shooter like that first shot compared to the the side angle of the shooter? Like 6:30 was a good angle.
