Did you disable the statue's regen ability? I swear I have tried something like this before, in the original version of the game, it just didn't loose any HP what so ever. Only uber Arkantos could do something because he had 300 attack? something like that.

Yeah I have the same experience, what ever he lost he could gain again very fast and easy
