A quick and dirty way to check compression is if it will blow your finger off the spark plug hole it has enough to run and if it doesn’t blow it off check to see if the valves are tight . This trick has served me well over the years and buying and flipping mowers or atvs or anything with a small motor, God bless you

The only time this hasn’t worked for me is with A 2 stroke had enough to shoot my thumb off but not enough to run, 79 John Deere 440

Alex nice find, bigger 48's going for about 100 to 200 in my area. In all kind of shape.. I have 5, 33 inch Troy Built. 33's They fit nice in gates. Haven sold any yet this year. Low ball offers. Hope you do well with it nice to make a score.

I didn’t even think about the compression release Roger. I guess I was able to get it rotating fast enough to overcome that on the gauge. I’m glad it wasn’t anything major on the issue. They told me they couldn’t get it to start. They had tried everything and said it needed a new motor.

Thank you. Oh yes the suburban pulled this across the yard with ease. I’m really glad it was just a valve issue on this machine. I really like the Kawasaki engines and I know it will help sell this machine.

@@freedommowers420 had issues on my John Deere LT engine the governor spring was not in the right spot but it is in the correct place still waiting on the driven pulley for the mower pan on the craftsman gt tractor I'll do a short video of it so you can see what I'm getting for the mower pan

I love Exmarks. This looks just like an Exmark. If you change the hydro oil, there are two hoses off of the reservoir, the one closest to the engine is the return. If you remove the return line at the reservoir and stuck it into a bucket, put a piece of clear hose on the stub coming out of the reservoir with a clamp on the threads, then fold over the hose with another clamp, and fire it up, it flushes the system. Then, replace the filter AFTER the fluid comes out clean, and get 2 5qt. jugs of Mobil 1 15w-50 full synthetic, it will take at LEAST one jug, maybe a slight bit more. It’s messy too, do it over a plastic tray or something, oh, and jack up the rear end on a stand so the wheels can turn, and use a piece of double-sided Velcro to hold the safety down. That’s a nice mower for two bucks.
