I am at a complete loss after seeing the violence of last night. I cannot unsee the live video of the shooting that I accidentally stumbled upon.... I will never comprehend the hate and anger in these horrendous acts of violence. I will never accept them, We are all humans. We are all equal....Only light and love belongs here. Sitting here with tears streaming down my face watching these young kids singing with all their hearts brings me hope for the future. I have two young children... and I need to believe that they will be safe, that they will be brought into a world that believes in love and peace and equality. I vow to you, and the world that I will live my life promoting love and goodness and bring as much light into this world that I possibly can... for my family, for the hollensfamily, for the world... why would there be any other reason to be alive? Thanks for listening. Love you all. - P

I get it, me too, I am a 60-year-old man who also loves to cry with songs like this, why? I honestly don't know that answer, but my hunch is that its moments like this that rattles our souls to its core to connect us to our proper and righteous place in this beautiful earth we all call home. I think it's all about the energies, it's like riding on the wave of creation itself, and its beautiful. With our world in seemingly wicked times with so much chaos all around us, its important to remind ourselves to reconnect with the heavens because songs like this is like speaking tp spirit God himself. it brings us back to the oneness we were always meant to be all along. just a hunch though... yeah I get it

Your voice with all the wonderfull voices joining you, singing this beautifull and emotional songs are the best medicine the human race can achieve now. Yes, you makes me cry like a baby. And yes, you have been blessed. People singing to hope is the best tool to heal a society wounded by pettyness and hate and social inequality. Please, continue singing like you do. Peter, with every fiber of my being, thank you for your version of this song. "You Raise Me Up" has a very, very special place in my heart. In May 2017, my Wife and I lost our 20 month old son Elijah to Congenital Heart Disease. In the space of one day, our whole world had fallen apart. We were completely lost and had no idea how we were going to cope with the coming days and weeks. A couple of days later, in the depths of horrendous depression, I happened to hear this song performed by Josh Groban. These lyrics and his delivery spoke right to my shattered soul and gave me a tiny sliver of hope; hope that no matter how tough the road ahead, there is always light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. Even in the deepest pit of depression, this song gave and still gives me hope. Having just viewed your cover of this absolutely beautiful song with 200 angels singing behind you, I was in tears of joy and peace. Nearly 4 years after Elijah's passing, it has renewed that feeling of hope for the future. You are a musical genius and I am so grateful for the passion that you show with every project you complete. With the love of our eldest son and each other, the road ahead is looking decidedly brighter. Your beautiful voice and your beautiful family continue to inspire and reassure us. God bless you.

GBT!!! I am so hopeful when I hear this amazing music and lyrics and read comments like these. God bless you Peter Hollens and thank you for sharing your beautiful voice and beliefs. I also have a really difficult time understanding what is so hard about seeing the human being behind every face we encounter. Let us all look for the good in this world and bolster each other.

You made me cry. My dad made a video for my grandfather using "you raise me up" and just listening to this brings me back in tears

My grandmother loved it when we, her granddaughters, sang this song. Hayst.. It's almost been a year since she passed away.

Peter really needs to collab with Pentatonix. They would be so awesome!

get shocked how are you doing

I disagree. Pentatonix are overrated and not nearly as talented as everyone thinks they are. Peter is so much greater than they are!

Magnifique... je l'ai découvert hier et je fais tourner la vidéo en boucle. Énormément d'émotions sur votre prestation.
