Hello! So, after much deliberation I needed to whittle down a couple people and at random chose a winner - Scarebear 333 - her boyfriend is going into the military and can’t afford calligraphy supplies so I really hope he enjoys it! Thanks everyone for entering, I’ll be doing more giveaways in the future so keep your eyes peeled :)

@Tatiana Figueira-McDonnell it depends whether you want to buy specific things of art or if you just want to use stuff that you have around the house. I did a painting a few years ago with my bare hands and a spoon because I didn't had any type of brush and I had the paint for quite some years tbh.. So yes, art can be free. You just have to think outside of the box 🙂

Okay, so I've been painting minis for... okay no, it's a looong time and we're leaving it at that... but Chloe, for what is only a couple hours work, by somebody that is effectively a novice, this is ... ruddy brilliant! It's really good work! You've quickly intuited what the different things are for, how to use them, and how to get the best results quickly. Okay, yeah, you've got some relatable expertise and experience in painting and composition, but this is still exceptional work, and I would love to see what happens if you really put the time and energy into a mini diorama.

For the future, you’re supposed to prime the model before you paint it. It makes the paint go down on the model better, and stops the paint chipping off over time.

I just adore the way you reworked the Apocolypse Ghost. I'd never even considered that it could be used in a way different from its intended purpose. I'd be delighted to improve my hand lettering & get to explore the world of ink. I've seen so many amazing artists discover & become infatuated with ink & I've yearned to try them myself for about a year. I'm. so overwhelmed by your kind, generous heart. Your offer to purchase & donate a box warms my heart, fills me with joy & puts a smile on my face. I know whomever you chose will be over the moon with delight. As soon as the "I couldn't find the glue" I just kept thinking back to every close up of the miniatures in the box with the glue sitting RIGHT NEXT TO IT and wondering, where she put the other miniatures box cuz that is where the glue is
@mechengr17317 ай бұрын
I know this is late, but screw it, I know exactly where it is. Chloe of the past found the perfect place for the glue, but present Chloe realized that was a stupid place for it and knew exactly where it should be. The problem is, she could not even fathom where that idiot past Chloe put it. This may or may not be something I deal with on a daily basis.

Jazza’s art boxes include such great, high quality art products. They are fantastic. The only slight criticism I have is the packaging design is quite child like and makes me think it’s going to be a box of kids art supplies. @@chronischgeheilt most of the stuff you don't need. Drop the whole basing stuff, the glues can be bought at every supermarked or hardware store. The brushes are to wide of a range, just get some good kolinsky brushes size 2, 1 and 0. For paints buy either what you need, start with vallejo or scale colours, and expand from there or go directly to scale artist colours wit black, white, yellow, mangenta, bronw and turqoise - the rest can be mixed from there. For miniatures, maybe stat with a bust - a huge vatiety with a good price span can be found at MR. lee's miniatures for example. and don't buy a wet pallett, build on for your own from parchment paper and kitchen towls - there are good tutorials on it. This will carry you a lot further than whats in the box, material vise. For tutorials go to massive voodoo - its a very good blog. or search for the youtube channels of painting buddha or miniacle. both offer some nice insights.

AMBITION LEVEL 9000! Taking on diorama basing, modeling putty, miniature building, and miniature painting all at once. Your either brave, or crazy or both. Pining and ca quickset will be a few things you want to look into. They make the build process easier. Test fit everything as you often have to trim parts to get miniatures to fit good, You almost always have small gaps but should never have large ones. Getting the mixture of the putty just right is crucial for it setting up right and I still struggle with that. Your final piece looks RELAY REALLY good for an intermediate piece let alone a beginner piece!
