The offroaders stuck in the lake/river. I don't know what they were taught back when learning to drive a 4X4, but once 2 or 3 in a row gets stuck, I sure as hell wouldn't be trying my luck in the same spot. That is a sure recipe for getting stuck yourself. I learned it in the military, and some crazy dudes in my artillery battery were convinced they could do this and all wound up stuck in the mud like pearls on a string for choosing the most muddy and deep spo to make fun of me in my 2X4 beford J6 truck while laughing at me. I chose the muddy part, but out at the fringe of it and kept a perfectly steady speed and minimal steering to avoid trouble. Guess who was standing on the other side of the trouble spot and laughing his ass of at all the guys who had taunted him for driving a road only truck. And the best part of it? A colonel was standing beside me, making a mockery of their driving skills and telling them to learn from a pro while pointing at me.

How can someone not know the difference between a Mustang and a Camaro? Most notably, is the Camaro is moving, whereas a Mustang is usually broken down on the side of the road. FORD=found on road dead, fing over rated disaster, flip over read directions,fixed or repaired daily, found on rubbish dump, Ford owner really dumb, funky old rebuilt Dodge, forward only, reverse defective, fast only rolling downhill, fails on rainy days. "Typical Corvette Driver" at 6:37 shows a Corvette driving on the left shoulder. I'm sorry, that's NOT a typical Corvette driver. I had a Vette, and here's what goes through your mind when you start thinking about driving on the shoulder (and you're not going around an accident or a dangerous obstruction in the road): 1. If a cop sees me, he will NOT let me off with a warning. I will get a ticket, and there will be a list of reasons why. The cop won't give me a break, and neither will a judge. It'll be a $400 ticket for sure. I didn't get to be a Vette owner by being bad at handling money. 2. If a cop sees me and he really wants to, he can find a reason to actually ARREST ME and have my car towed. Yeah, even if he has to violate my civil rights to do so. Then the cop's tow yard isn't going to be careful with your car. A Vette needs to be towed on a flatbed, but just to get back at the driver, they'll probably just hitch it with chains and destroy the front fascia of the car, resulting in thousands of dollars of damage. Insurance might not eve pay for damage done while I was flagrantly earning myself a moving violation. 3. A Corvette has a low clearance to the ground. You can't really "straddle" most debris in the road...you actually have to steer your car AROUND it. So if I drive in the shoulder, and if I luck out and a cop DOESN'T see me do this, then there will be detritus on the shoulder that will no-doubt damage my car, maybe even badly enough to cause a really bad multi-car accident. A windshield could be several thousand dollars (US), and a new run-flat tire for a Vette probably costs $800 or more these days. And for any Corvette that was new in the last 18 years, you sure aren't carrying any spare tires. The C4 model was the last one with a spare tire, and that stopped being made in 1996. 4. If I luck out and a cop doesn't see me do this and I luck out and there's no damage to my car by debris in the shoulder, then EVERY PERSON WHO SEES ME DO THIS will not trust me ever. Some will have cameras. Others will write down my plate number. One or two might try to follow me. In heavy traffic (why would people drive on the shoulder in light traffic, right?) 400 horsepower will not help me get away from a righteously angry citizen who decides to follow me and shame me or engage in road rage. With those 4 reasons, I would never drive in a shoulder. Not when I had a Vette. Not when I had a BMW, a Toyota, or a Mazda. And not now when I have a Nissan. No. This is the action of a typical selfish person. Not a typical Corvette driver. Just had to say that.
