Not sure if his math is off or I’m not doing it correctly, I found 8 pallets, and got 2 dollars a piece for them, from a certified pallet place that buys pallets for repairs, and they do not want any other pallets other than 40 by 48 four ways.

I’m not sure how many times I will have to say this… but I do not sell to pallet yards and only 10% of my business is 48x40 standard pallets. I teach what I know ow is a better way. Why? Because you are leaving a ton of revenue on the table doing it the way you are going about it. And the kicker is you usually arent going to get exclusive supply going it about the biz that way. Most places here in Florida only pay $5 for 48 forty pallets and .50 to $1 for mics size pallets. So how or where to go to get more money for pallets?

You’re speaking about pallet yards and what they will pay. We are not selling to pallet yards. And in addition we’re not just dealing with the 4840 standard pallet there’s hundreds and hundreds of different styles that come in to play if you know what you’re doing We also teach brokering brokering pallets which is passive income. Also realize there’s a whole multitude of revenue streams, corrugated boxes, crates, dunnage, industrial bags, wire spools. Why can’t the buyer that’s local that needs the pallets, get a driver to pickup the pallets and save on having to pay for the pallets?

They are too busy fulfilling their orders going out on any given day. They are not in the pallet business nor do they want to be.

Where can I find good deals on cheap flatbed trucks local near Birmingham somewhere in Alabama? I have at least 5k saved up so far. I have checked govplanet, iron planet, marketplace, craigslist, etc, but their trucks are the price of buying a brand new model vehicle. That is not what I am looking for. I want those good cheap deals like you guys get that do not cost tens of thousands of dollars. By the way, where do you recommend taking the truck to get repaired once it break down at some point?

Try govdeals.com also increase your search radius to 200 miles in marketplace. I have used Pep Boys in the past in Homewood - they have the lifts big enough for a flatbed. But they aren’t the cheapest.

Do you take your truck to Pep Boys when it needs routine maintenance? Or are there other places you know of that work on old used flatbed trucks?

Hey John, what type of straps do you use? Are they the ones that are rolled up on the side of the flatbed or do you take them out of storage on the struck and put them on? Just want to know the names of the straps?

My current truck doesnt have built in straps. So I use 2” x 24ft straps. But in past I’ve had truck with built in 4” straps and used them in combination with 2 inch straps because there wasn’t enough straps to cover all the stacks of pallets.
