A guy just tried to explain it to me while I was outside Tears of Guthix. It didn't make that much sense but this explanation does haha. Cool!

Took me a while to understand cause I'm a little slow, but once I got it, it's amazing, thank you!

This is super helpful! I do think the explanation could be clearer. Here's my rundown of it in case it helps someone else: There are only 3 'types' of spots and there are 9 spots total in the area. The 3 types are blue, green, and empty. Here are the general assumptions / principals: - at any given moment, there will always be 3 blue, 3 green, and 3 empty spots - the blue and green spots have a finite (fixed) lifetime, 9 seconds to be specific as shown with the RuneLite plugin - blue and green spots MUST move to an empty spot and cannot take the place of another blue or green spot - blue and green spots MUST be replaced by an empty spot when they expire (even if it's only for a brief moment until the next blue or green moves to fill in the empty spot) - the empty spot lifetime is variable because the blue and green spots move randomly to one of the three empties when replacing an empty spot - blue and green spots will move in a specific in a specific pattern, i.e. the order/sequence that each of them change in is fixed and players can choose a pattern to play the game under by hopping worlds As an example of the pattern for spot changing, here are two: Example 1: blue stream changes spot > green stream changes spot > blue stream changes spot > green stream changes spot > green stream changes spot > blue stream changes spot Example 2: green stream changes spot > blue stream changes spot > blue stream changes spot > blue stream changes spot > green stream changes spot > green stream changes spot In example two, all of the blue streams change spots right after one another. This is the pattern he's talking about. The important piece is all the blues move together in sequence. What this strategy utilizes is ALL of the blue spots (let's call them B1, B2, and B3-numbered in the order that they change spots) will move (i.e., their time expires) immediately after one another WITHOUT any green spots moving between the blue spots movement (let's call them G1, G2, and G3).(THIS IS THE IMPORTANT ONE AND WHAT IS MEANT BY ALL THE BLUE SPOTS MOVE WITHOUT ANY GREEN MOVING IN BETWEEN) So the strategy is: 1. watch for the first blue stream that changes in the pattern (B1), this is the one you go to when you first enter the cave 2. stay at B1 until it runs out-if you chose the correct world / pattern of stream movement where all the blues move together then B2 and B3 will be the next two to move (NOT ANY OF THE GREENS) 3. when B1 runs out, stay there and wait for B2 and B3 to move to see if either of them move to the spot you're standing at (where B1 just was at)-make note of where B1 moved to and hover your mouse there 4. a. if neither B2 nor B3 move to the spot you're standing (where B1 previously was), then click and move to B1's new spot b. if B2 or B3 do move to the spot you're standing (where B1 previously was), then stay there and collect happily until B2 or B3 runs out c. There is the possibility that if you caught a B1 into a B2 chain, then B3 MIGHT be able to move to B2's previous spot when B2 runs out then B3 moves. However, the odds are more likely that you'll get a green one after B2 moves because you'll then be rolling against the movement of B3, G1, G2, and G3 in that order-rather than what you roll when you choose to stay at B1 because you are rolling B2, B3 first before rolling G1, G2, and G3. Tbd if you should just reset to B1 after a B1 into B2 or B3 chain. I'd say most definitely reset to B1 after a B1 into B3 chain because-based on the relative movement pattern of the green and blue streams-you'd be rolling heavily into B3's former spot (now empty) being replaced by G1, G2, or G3. This strategy is entirely predicated on being able to use the stream movement patterns to your advantage to chain up blue tear collections. Kudos Physicism! I would not have been able to come up with that realization on my own

find world that has 3 blues that move together. go to first blue and click. once the first blue moves, hope that the second, or the third blue moves to the same spot you were at so you don't have to move and can collect tears. if no other blue moves then be sure to keep an eye on the first blue that moved and go to where it is now. repeat. You didn't do a bad job, people just watch too much tiktok with that bus running shit and can't use critical thinking skills

What do you mean by the blue spots "moving"?
@Physicism Жыл бұрын
There are 9 tear locations. 3 blue, 3 green, and 3 empty. When they change positions, it is always in the same order. But you can hop worlds and look for an order that is desirable. You are looking for BBBGGG, GBBBGG, GGBBBG, or GGGBBB. All the blue "moves" need to be one after the other. This way, after the blue stream that you are at moves, there is no chance that a green one will take its place, but a good chance that a blue one will. So you can stay at that location and maximize the number of tears you collect. Hope that helps :)
