First time seeing Czarcie Kopyto pedals in a drum video (not taking in account my drum teacher, who also has a set) but those pedals seem so fluent!!

They are the best on the market. Using them a lot (concerts, rehearsal, covers, recording etc…) since early 2018. Never had to oil them, just a wipe cleaning dusts ! 😍

Incredible double strokes technique. I was wondering tho would it not be easier to single stroke speeds of 200, and get more power? I understand 250bpm and up tho, anyone who can clean single stroke above 250 is a beyond mortal machine (cough Ken from Aborted)
@ThomasCremier
@ThomasCremier Жыл бұрын
Thanks man !! To be honest, I cannot play 200bpm single ! I can go up to 140-150 😅 That’s why my most complicated tempo to play at it 170, too fast for single, too slow for double ! But I am working on it ! 💪🏻 Man Ken Bedene 😍 What a monster !

Am I seeing right? Did you pepper occasionally really fast single strokes between your heel toe on the right foot? Your heel toe video is amazing and remember I was asking for something as this very video! 🤟😀🤟 I'm in awe Thomas! 😲🙏🙏 Thanks for your videos!

Hi Jan ! In this video the only singles I do is the little bursts before the fast and constant double bass drumming 😊 But if you are totalling about a part while I play some long and fast double bass drumming, I am not doing any singles with my right foot. At ultra high tempos, I have some weird motion to counteract the tension in my legs ! Thank you very much for watching and I hope I answered to your question 😊 Cheers !

amazing technique... do you think that such a speed can be achieved even with cheap pedals?
@ThomasCremier
@ThomasCremier 6 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot !! I was able to play up to 260 with my old Pearl Eliminator pedals, double chain drive years ago ! And other drummers just as Francesco Paoli or the ex drummer of Rings Of Saturn still play with these pedals and achieving ridiculously fast tempos !! So yeah 😉 Gear is a tool, it is for comfort and preferences. Technique is what is the most important !

@@ThomasCremier thanks for the advice I just recently started learning this technique and I use the cheap direct drive millenium PD-223 pedals but I can't seem to adjust them well because I don't feel a good enough feedback when hitting and because I can only play this technique at slower tempos could you advise me how to set the pedal better to achieve better feedback?
@ThomasCremier
@ThomasCremier 6 ай бұрын
@@janhorvath9855my pleasure ! When I started learning this technique, and it is still the case nowadays, I really feel that high tension for the springs and a pretty high tension for the kick drum head help a lot ! As for the beater angle, a 45 degree angle is good ! But know that everything is tastes and preferences. A friend of mine which play extremely fast with the same technique and the same pedals sets them completely in the opposite way 😊 Try different settings, feel and decide what’s best for you ! Cheers !

Does this method work with no triggers?
@angelobordin2623

It surely works like every other technique, but if you want to be heard well while going fast triggers are a must, no matter what method
@ThomasCremier
@ThomasCremier Жыл бұрын
Ryder, it works yes ! But depending on the speed, you would loose all the power and precision out of the hits. And just as Angelo said, triggers are a must when you play fast and want to be heard precisely, and it is the case with any technique ! 😊
