Hi Chris it's the insurance where you can come into trouble adding extra seats. If you can find someone to insure you it's bloody expensive , look into it first before you invest bud

Don't think it would be that bad if changed the docs too motorhome then get motorhome insurance that would also over come the seats problem would definitely need roll cage due too the rigid roof or re sheeted tho

All MOT guides (especially the HGV one) are clear as mud, I thought you of all people would know that Chris 😂. Remember it’s “testers discretion” if they’re not sure themselves 🙄🤣

Added my own seats into my Vivaro, and as long as it was bolted solid to the chassis all was good. One MOT tester did advise me to add a sticker to my side loading door which said "Passenger Access" or words to that effect. This way in an emergency they would know there could be people in there (there was no window on the door). Other side door had access to the rear and the seating area was boxed off in 18mm Ply for extra safety from flying objects. My seats also had integral seat belts which was handy!

Good job you got an overnight park up at Scarborough cos I think North Yorks council are looking to ban overnighting on that road and a couple of others (they were voting on it on Friday)? Probably got a few campsite owners on the council who aren't making any money from vans ? You'll struggle to get the Luton reclassified as a motorhome too, best the DVLA will allow you is "van with windows" But the main thing is you're all having fun and not breaking the bank, yer it is, whoop whoop !

Do it like a horse box , main thing is direct contact with driver , like you said . Then a bed , cooker and sink to get it as camper . Never had a bar cage in our living vehicles. Be even better if you know someone within the showman’s guild , especially going to events etc

We have a 7 and half ton lorry woth seats in the back we carry people in it but we have belly laps seat belts and we have insurance to we are insured with BEMOTO insurance tryed them
