Hi Andrew, I need one clarity on one of your question from Quiz in Udemy course: Que: While conducting communication management on a project, the project manager has determined that the communication management plan is not adequate for the project, and many stakeholders have complained about the lack of communication. What should the project manager do next? A. Create a Change Request ✅ B. Hold a meeting C. Do more networking D. Speak with the project team. Justification given: If a project manager determines that the communication management plan is inadequate for the project, the next step is to create a change request to change the plan to better match the communication needs of the project. My Query: What you have explained in the course is that if any action needs to be taken first consult/ speak with the project team, then further go ahead with any action. But here, you are saying that as a PM go and right away create a change request. Isn't it contradictory?

The PM him/her self has realized that the communication management plan is inadequate. In this case, the PM has already analyzed and "determined" the problem. So, he/ she can proceed to update the change request.

Not sure if my thought process is correct but a CR should be step 1 where further assessment/solutioning can proceed by speaking with the project team (stakeholders). Which can then be followed by holding a meeting on to confirm and agree on the changes to the communication management plan.
